Salam Aashir bhai.*(suggestion Regarding Smuggling)* Its my personal 19 years of experience at afghan transit trade) Maybe I'm wrong but i have some analysis. If we dont pull the plug it will fry our circuits. 1.if govt of Pakistan pull less duties from importers of pakistan on all white goods containers..like (a) sidha hisaab on per kg or /ton(like in Afghanistan).its literally do-able if think brains sit together. Then who will smuggle them back if its less than afghan mehsool+total roundtrip expenditure. Jab kisi item ki duty app pakistan main zyada kartay ho wo afghan transit pay palat jaya hai.i had years studying this pattern. Jab imorter ko mall less kharchay pay pakistan main hi saaf suthra milay ga us ko kis bhens nay mara hai k wo 3 ,4 maah baad apna maal rulla howa/kam/ ganda maal wasool karay..i think u know what i mean. (2.)no white goods should be banned like tea, spare parts, etc.imports khud smuggling nahi karwaye ga wo pakistan main khud container import kar k duty day ga .that's where ur cutting afghan revenue in mehsool at different riyast that goes to their central power. Now by this as per my analysis in the first year it will suddenly drop to about 48.5 % and if the system is effective will go to 60.2% of less smuggling .the point is you have to pull the plug if their source supply. 3. Lots of people will say people at border points will suffer so be it. nobody dies of hunger eventually the pattern of thier living will change will alternates. 4. I have lots to say but i think comment sections have some restrictions thats why i m re-editing

I personally know a Pathan from Peshawar, who set up an office in Kabul, under the name of an Afghani, and then he used to bring general items from the Turkey, and other Contries, and all of which were stored in warehouses near the port. would go, and then be sold all over the country from there. Today he owns a famous tissue manufacturing company in Peshawar. He also import dry batteries, solar systems separately. And today that person has become a billionaire.

Good clear information, you mentioned about official insensitivity to give benefit to people and country. It is as British left them , they trained them and they are doing exactly as they are trained. Loot the country and settle in uk and Europe. Smuggling you did not mention how is collected by FC and cor commander gets how much share. Their salary and the property plus life style doesn’t match.

Asher army generals don’t want change this system because they are receiving cash every day in Pakistan you can’t change this system bcoz mafias are very strong you was serving in the Pakistan u know nobody can change this system and last leave country and live other countries like u and me I am in England last 18 years

A simpler solution could be to charge the same amount of custom duty from afghan transit goods as applicable to import in Pakistan and then transfer the collected amount of afghan government. Pakistan government should also charge a 10% of collected duties as processing fee for this service. That would practically mean that goods imported through afghan transit would be more expensive than goods legally imported in Pakistan and bring down smuggling to zero.
