I was praying. I asked God why He nolonger speaks to us. Why we nolonger see angels. I told Him i stoped reading the bible reason being it has been changed so much. I told him i know all the names people call Him by but i would like to know who really He is. I told Him am afraid to read the bible and Chirstianity with these early pastors they have turned it into a joke yet go unpunished. So am afraid to partake in a lie thinking it's write. I had recited this prayer for so long but today as i kept asking God if is there atleast some truth that remained unchanged in the bible. Then a voice said melchizedec. Now i had no idea where it was but i knew somewhere at the end of the bible. I never checked at that time i kept asking God to speak to me opening some books of the old testament. Then i turned to new testament a page opened about Melchizedec. I prayed and thanked God. Then i took my phone to youtube to see if anyone ever wondered about this figure. To me i believe God was showing me His truth who He is. The beginning and the end. No mother no father. Withought genealogy. King of salem. King of peace. El and Elohim. Its interesting he uses Bread and Wine ceremonially in what appears to be an act of communion long before the last super.

We are convinced that's it is the "order" of Melchizedek. It is not one man, it is a title. The Melchizedek does not have a beginning, end, or genealogy. It is the line of the messiah.

I enjoyed the analysis and history. Melchizedek is a fascinating person, more is to be learned. His priesthood was without beginning or end, not his person. And he held the high priesthood, not the lower priesthood, like Aaron did later on. Thus, Abraham sought out Melchizedek to give him tithes and to obtain that high priesthood also, under the hand of Melchizedek.

Hmmm. I disagree that Melchizedek isn't Jesus for a few reasons: 1. The Holy Spirit inspires the writing of the Scriptures. Why would God speak like this?.... running down rumors and comparing Jesus to local "folklore"? Unless there is serious significance to Melchizedek, being mentioned by Moses, David then in Hebrews. 2. If we believe the encounter of Abraham and Melchizedek to be historical fact... then we must believe the things being said about him as well... 3. If Melchizedek can never die, and a person made a priest after this order is primarily because of its permanency.. that would HAVE to mean Melchizedek still exists somewhere... since he couldn't die... AND he would have to STILL be a priest.... because by definition that's what being a priest after this order means. Your position is permanent because you have no ending. 4. So then, do we have TWO priests in this permanent priedthood?..... Melchizedek that Abraham encountered and then Jesus??? 5. Either Melchizedek was a human that died and they attributed his myth to Jesus.. in order to help us understand Jesus' priesthood....OR...Melchizedek was Jesus in the Old Testament. It's more plausible that Melchizedek was Jesus in the Old Testament. Being said to have the exact characteristics..... no beginning or ending.... no father or mother. These are attributes of God. Jesus existed in the beginning. Being the very thing THROUGH WHICH the Earth was created. So then why would it be so hard for it to have been Jesus? Of course not known as Jesus but by the other titles we know him to be..... THE WORD OR LOGOS. When did Melchizedek cease being on the Earth? Did his priesthood just disappear or end? when there's a change of priesthood there's also a chance of covenant. So then, could it be when Moses and his people accepted God's covenant... this is where the priesthood change happened? Not that Melchizedek ceased being a priest... but being a person of the Godhead manifested in human form like Christ, went back to heaven? And with God dwelling amongst his people he temporary appoints Aaron and his sons to take on the task? Kinda like when Jesus said if I don't go then the Holy Spirit can't come. Not that God is incapable of being in two places at once... but there is a change in covenant. The Holy Spirit now has a work to do in the Earth. If we can believe that Enoch was the 1st human taken alive to heaven because he pleased God, and alln of the other incredible things scripture recounts....it's not too extreme to suggest Melchizedek was a manifestation of the LOGOS.... here not yet being the "Son Of God"...having not yet been conceived into Mary.... being only known to them by what he actually is.. THE WORD. Just my take on it.

We often interpret the Scriptures in regard to the traditions of Jewish culture, but we forget to realize that there were documents and mystical traditions as well...I never would have thought of this, and it is a real eye opener. If Melchizedek was different from the Son of God he could nevertheless be a "picture" of Him, a fore-shadow, like other persons in the Old Testament such as David = King, Shepherd, or Moses = Redeemer. I am currently reading your book The Christ Key because of a dream I had 2 weeks ago. I did not know you or your work prior. I had another recent experience regarding Melchizedek and also have vaguely heard of the name in the corners of my mind. I've never read the bible, and was not brought up religious despite being baptized Greek Orthodox. I have spent the past 4 days researching anything I could get my hands on about him and I see I have come full circle with your research paper. Thank you for your work and I am just flabbergasted at this point.

The Urantia book says Melchizedek was sent to reestablish God's word as pre[paration for the coming of Christ. The references to God speaking with Abraham were actually of Melchizedek but, apart from one passage, were later switched out by the priests who didn't want any figure to eclipse the patriarch's status.

1) To me, it is obvious, but like some things in Scripture, it is not required for all to know it, such as Jesus saying "to whomever can receive it, let him receive it" as He did with John the Baptist being the Elijah to come. Why then, do some Christians think Elijah is one of the 2 witnesses when Jesus made it clear that Elijah has ALREADY come? Because not all can receive His saying and something go over certain people's heads. Now ... for Melchizedek: 2) Melchizedek has neither beginning of days, nor ending. *That is in reference to ETERNALITY,* for Jesus also has neither beginning nor ending. 3) *Melchizedek is the King of Salem.* It is a disturbing lie to read Jewish and Christian Commentaries that insert "Jerusalem." No. There is nothing about the CITY of Peace. There is literally nothing in the Text that says "Jeru-salem". Nothing. That is an insertion of man, and the blind leaders who don't know the difference. There is only "peace" (Salem - shalom) written in the Text. In fact, there is no city mentioned at all. PEACE is intangible. You cannot see or touch it. 4) *Melchizedek is the King of Righteousness.* How can a mortal man be the KING of Righteousness!? Only GOD can have such a title! It would be blasphemy to give a title that belongs only to God, to mortal men! 5) *There is literally no such thing as the "priesthood" of Melchisedek.* That is literally never written. It does not exist in the Text. Saying there is a "priesthood" of Melchizedek is as much an insertion and an error (intentional or otherwise) as inserting 'Jerusalem' into the Text when the Text clearly says "Salem" only. There is, likewise, NO mention of any other priests or successors, NO mention of any Temple, NO mention of any 3b & 4b & 5B) "My Kingdom is NOT of this world" - Jesus 6) *Melchizedek is both King and High Priest.* No one else can be both. No king can also be high priest, and no high priest can also be king. ONLY Melchizedek was this, and ONLY Jesus is this. 7) *His very name means KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS* Do you not hear the blasphemy in that, to call a mere mortal, the KING over RIGHTEOUSNESS!? The very NAME is DIVINE! FAST FORWARD TO THE NEW TESTAMENT 8) *The author of Hebrews mentions things that a sacred to the Jews, showing hos Jesus is GREATER than all of the things, but when it comes to Melchizedek, the author does NOT show Jesus as being GREATER, but instead, he shows Jesus as being {EQUAL} to Melchizedek.* When you read the surrounding Chapters in that light, it becomes clear that the one thing the author does not make Jesus "greater than," is Melchizedek. But instead, he considers Jesus to be "equal to." 8) *The author is holding something back about Melchizedek.* He says that there are things he wants to tell them about Melchizedek, but they are all too weak and unspiritual and unlearned. He even complains about their spiritual immaturity - rebukes them for it, even. So, the question is, WHAT is it that the author wants to tell the saints about Melchizedek? That he is GOD in the flesh? That he is Christ (Christophany)? And why is this so hard to imagine? Did not Jacob wrestle with a MAN that he called GOD? Did not three MEN visit Abraham of whom he called his Lord, Yahweh? 10) *Because the greater always blesses the lessor.* It is firmly established and considered that Abraham was the most righteous man alive in those days. So, if he was the MOST righteous, what in the world could be MORE Righteous than the MOST righteous? Only GOD! The greater blessed the lessor. 11) And this one, to me, seals the deal. *ABRAHAM GAVE TO MELCHIZEDEK WHAT {{BELONGS}} TO GOD! HE GAVE HIM THE TITHE!* You cannot give what belongs to God to anything else! And no righteous man would take what belongs to God unto himself. It would be robbery, perhaps sin! So, why does Abraham, who knew better, give what belongs to GOD, to a moral man? It is for the same reason Abraham went running off to three strangers, bowed, and call them his master! Melchizedek has to be GOD!

The Dead Sea scrolls and Nag Ham speak of Melchizedek. Melchizedek is a celestial being that materialized upon the face of the planet earth to uplift humanity. The Melchizedek order and being is spoken about within the papers of the Urantia Book.

I am an LDS and hold the Melchezidek Priesthood...it was restored to the Earth with its keys by Peter James and John in 1820 as was the Aaronic Priesthood by John the Baptist... after which Christ's Church was Restored to the Earth...I know that many out there do not consider our Church as being legitimate or even Christian but we do still have a living Prophet We have Temples ..where Baptisms for the dead are performed as is mentioned in 1st Corinthians 15:29...as far as Christian denominations are concerned it appears that we are more structured according to the ancient Church then any other that I am aware of Be interesting to see what others think as there is a very strong anti Mormon stance regarding our legitimacy as a Christian denomination Enjoyed this presentation immensely

Hebrews sets out from the start, to answer questions that Jewish believers (or potential believers) had about the Messiah. The various myths that had developed over the centuries about who the Messiah was and how he would manifest, had become excepted as almost as equal to scriptural truths. Therefore, the author of the book of Hebrews begins the first few chapters by explaining that Jesus was 'greater than the angels, greater than 'Moses', 'greater than Abraham', and of course 'greater than Melchizedek'.

The way I've come to understand it, the kingship and priesthood of earth were represented by one man starting with Adam, and passed down along the line of patriarchs, (not the twelve patriarchs of Israel as the word is commonly associated) until the two offices were divided. The kings were to descend from the line of Judah, and the priests from the line of Levi. This was done by God, and he was very serious about the separation of the two, as is evidenced by the severe judgment of leprosy placed upon Uzziah for attempting to overstep his place as king by offering incense, something only a priest could do. The significance of the connection between Mechizedek and Jesus is that for the first time since God separated the two offices, the kingship of the entire world and the priesthood of the entire world would once again be embodied in one man. I'm of the opinion that Shem was indeed Mechizedek, and that he inherited the kingship/priesthood from his father, Noah. The apparent immortality that appears to be ascribed to him is actually dealing with the nature of the priesthood itself, and not the man himself, even though the ultimate expression of that priesthood would be the immortal God incarnate, Jesus Christ. I have a question about this. You say something to the effect that what the author of Hebrews is doing is simply echoing common rumors about Melchizedek, not attempting to lay claim to their validity and in this way, he is like the Son of God. However, if this is the case, then what does that same process say about Christ's priesthood? Is the author trying to tell the readers that not everything that is written about Jesus is true? I'm trying to follow the logic of this... it isn't making sense to me. I'm a bit slow about "getting" things sometimes. It seems to me that if Jesus tells us to pray, "Your Kingdom come, your will be done on Earth, just as it is in Heaven" it suggests (to me) that Melchizedek would have already been a priest in Heaven before Canaan, thus, he laid the foundation for an Earthly Priesthood, being the first Priest from God to bless mankind (break curses). If that is how it really is, then it is easy for me to see the correlation between Christ's Eternal Priesthood and that of Melchizedek. Because then, Melchizedek and Jesus both came from Heaven. It reminds me of later on when Hebrews tells the readers to "entertain strangers" for by doing so, many have entertained Angels unaware. Very interesting indeed.

You might be interested in what the Urantia Book says about Machiventa Melchizedek.

The 1st time I read the vers talking about the Priesthood of Melchizedek, specifically the Order of Melchizedek something in me just switched on. This Priesthood Order is Very Real and transcend space and time. I could not find any info on it, but knew it was something very special. Found Druvaldo Melchizedek with Sacred Geometry looking for answers. The name Usavius came to me in a dream, maybe I must go read Usavius writings on Melchizedek to see how this opens more doors for me. Have you ever studied the link between John the Baptist and Elijah (Jesus and Elisha) maybe they were all part of this Priesthood. Chosen people to come back to assist human development on earth.

Rabbinic teaching and the early Church fathers all believed that the title Melchizadek (king of righteousness) was the son of Noah, Shem. Shem was the only 1st born in the Genesis account that did not loose his blessing; Cain, Esau, etc...I believe that if you count the years of Shem's lifespan, he out lives Abraham by 25 years or so. What we see in the biblical account is Melchizadek as a type of Christ, and New Testament worship of God: a priest offering bread and wine, receiving a blessing and then paying a tithe. The Levitical priests did the same thing in their offerings of bread and wine: see Leviticus 24-25. Jesus at the Last Supper: offers bread and wine stating that it has now become his body and blood of the New Covenant, commanding his disciples to "Do this in remembrance (anamnesis: covenantal representation) of Me" Only a priest could "Do" a sin offering. Jesus Christ is a priest "in the order of Melchizadek.: Psalm 110:4 Also of interest, as Mechizadek was King of Salem, Abraham offered Isaac (Aqedah: binding of Isaac) on Mt. Moriah, in Salem. "Where is the lamb for sacrifice?" "The Lord will provide." Abraham named that place: Yahweh Jira: in English: Jira-Salem (Jerusalem). See Genesis 22:14. This is exactly where the Jerusalem Temple was built: see 2Chron. 3:1 and where Jesus was Crucified: Calvary, a hill on Moriah.

Melchizedek was the "High priest" without beginning or end! In Hebrews Apostle Paul refers to Christ as the "High Priest" forever ! And Christ also was without beginning or end! How can there be two high priest forever unless they are the same Christ!

You are telling us about the various speculations that the Biblical writers encountered concerning the lives of the past men and women of the Old Testament. I can appreciate this as I have done my own research. What I conclude is, Melchizedeq's attitude and actions were probably well known to Abraham and his followers to be the kind of reminder they needed to review in light of their knowledge of God and His eternal Covenant that would one day be fulfilled in His Son. Like we who believe and look back at the resurrection for "meaning and knowledge of God for eternal life, so did the patriarchs look forward in this promissory covenant for the same meaning, "to know God."

My brother good job. Very brilliant and clear teaching, however, there is a verse in Heb.7 that almost every teacher do not touch and I see you have done the same thing. That verse makes this teaching much clearer about who Melchizedek actually is.

The superiority of the priesthood of the Christian in comparison to the Jewish priesthood is a hard pill for the Jews to swallow.

The names of Jannes and Jambres are recorded in the Book of Jasher, which precedes Samuel and Kings.

My theory is that the Order of Melchizadek is now given to all of us, since we live in a post-incarnation world. I believe this because once, God seemed to tell me I was of the same order. I wrestled with that for a long time, not wanting to feel superior or prideful in these words, and the more I through about it, the more I realized... if we believe what the bible says about us being "co-heirs with Christ," than to me that translates to the order of Melchizadek, that same ruling priesthood outside of the traditional lineages of the religious leaders!

Is it heretical to think Isaac was born by divine conception? The Bible seems to say that G-d himself visited Sarah and gave her Isaac. And then goes on to recount the near sacrifice of G-d’s could-be son.
