I have one of these for a couple of years now, and I love it! You can change up the styles of the display. You can also create your own display by importing your own photos that represent the numbers 0-9. The way the displays fit in the base feels very fragile, but this is something that just sits on the shelf to be looked at. Wonderful piece of kit!

I'm surprised it looks pretty cool for a fake nixie clock! Seems to be customizable too , and has a wifi or bluetooth module in there too. Gotta get one for sure , even though I already have a real nixie clock

I have one of these. I got mine a year or so ago after seeing it on Techmoan. I paid something like $100. Overall I'm pleased with the unit, The Nixie display is very good. The only complaint I have is the battery backup is constantly on and the battery will drain over a period of a month. Making the battery backup kinda useless. I will date myself and wish I hadn't sold my Heathkit Nixie clock (six digits).

They missed a big UI opportunity by not adding a button per "nixie".

That's a really nice implementation! I've always wanted a nixie clock, but avoided 'cos I'm a klutz when it comes to fragile things. This looks like a good compromise for the fat fingered :)

Cool video. I think I have an idea for a DIY project. I was looking and see that some of these have an NTP client to set the time.

It is a cool clock but it has a few issues. It has a buggy firmware. It keeps very poor time. And suspend results in a corrupted display more than half the time. The windows software functions but is cryptic in its use. So expect it to not be perfect.

If you can't afford nixie clock then I suggest an IV-11 clock, which is almost identical in price to this.

The displays on mine says 'please use the APP to calibrate the clock' how do i fix it?

What do you think the longevity is of the displays? If you leave them on will they get burn in?

Hey, my mode button doesnt work as it shows in your Video, got it gifted to my Birthday today and wanted to ask what I ahould do :/ It just sends my screens to other colours and number styles and not to the menu as in the video :'c

The very idea of a Nixie tube clock was that it was made from antique tubes. Life is slowly becoming an imitation of life. We live in interesting times.

In the comment section of the link you purchased it from others including yourself say that it's frozen or bricked? Did that happen to this clock? Is this a replacement? Can you give us details? I'm hesitant to purchase now.

Where did you get yours from and for how much? I see something like this on AliExpress and I'm wondering if it's worth buying or a risk for $120.

I kinda like the idea but the slow drawing speed kills any remaining nixie-esque for me. The three-dimensional feel and the fast speed is what defines nixies and its all missing. I have a real nixie clock and 2 edge lit display clocks (called LED-Nixie-M though it has nothing to do with nixies but with edge lit numerical displays).

While this clock looks almost identical to the Elekstube clock (which is ~3x the cost of this one), it is not an Elekstube brand so don’t try and use their custom software to customize the digits. I innocently made that mistake thinking it was a genuine Elekstube and the firmware wouldn’t work anymore after I tried to change the digit graphics. Fortunately I found some Arduino based equivalent software to get my clock to function again. Whew. It’s not exactly the same as the original firmware but now it enables the wifi and sets the time using NTP protocol so that is a nice ‘new’ feature.

I see an ESP32 chip there. Probably you've Bluettoth and WiFi support. I wonder what can be changed?

I've have a version of one of those after Techmoan reviewed it some time ago. It was much more expensive back then i.e over $100. I think you can download some questionable software to install your own images in the digits - Why not create and upload images with Imsai dog in each digit ? I never plucked up enough courage to find and install the application.

Nahhhh, that is a cheat!!!!! Cool though, but not that warm feeling you get from real Nixies and that wonderful smell once dust starts accumulating on the HV-sections. Smell is important, isn’t it? 😅

Really don't like this kind. Real Nixie tube is fantastic.
