Right??? Wrong, the infinity stones have two rules. They cannot be destroyed, and they cannot function outside of the stones original universe. The stones themselves are much much more powerful than people give them credit for especially when all combined in one. Think about it like this, you get a standard jar (the universe) and fill it with an Olympic swimming pools worth of water (infinity stones power) condensing the water into the jar then sealing it. The infinity stones are much more capable than people know however cannot effect anything beyond the “jar.” Just a quick fun thought.

@@DuoTheDude in the comics, Thanos always avoids death. Similar to Endgame where the avengers killed Present Thanos and Thanos came back as his past self. Deadpool in live action has regeneration that will still bring him back if just a cell is left. Death loves them both and they are always brought back as long as they are able to bring more death.
