@@manager-nim2623 oh, one-on-one teaching is amazing. Sensitive kids especially love and need that kind of attention. They can really blossom and come into their own person with someone believing and supporting them like that in a one-on-one situation. If you haven’t tried teaching before, maybe give it a try? I absolutely love teaching people. It’s so gratifying to see a person’s potentials coming into being. I used to hate being a teacher/tutor before because I thought that people who can’t do, teach. You know, as in, this person couldn’t be what they wanted to be in life, so instead they’re teaching. But I don’t think that anymore because that is not true, not for INFJs who are focused and honest anyway. Teaching takes an amazing amount of patience, and insight into people’s personalities, and a deep desire to see growth and change in others. Without these essential qualities, someone with knowledge can teach, but it doesn’t mean that the student will learn. Teaching is an art and it’s an action done out of love. If you like teaching, I hope you’ll give the one-on-one thing a try. There’s a need for that service too in the world. And yes, there I go again, advising people who didn’t ask for advice. Lol. Sorry, and bear with me, but it came from a good place. I hate to see people not realizing their gifts.

Well done Frank! You managed to subtly call out each type while still painting them in a positive light. ISTJ accidentally calling themselves a calculator made me laugh out loud, they really are such straightforward dorks. And as an INFP, replying to an insult with clarifications and unnecessary details sounds about right.

Same. I was always "the good kid" who got straight A's and was well behaved. No crazy stories, except for some mildly rebellious stuff when I was 11 and one dumb thing I did at 17 when I was tired of being called a "goody two shoes", "teacher's pet", "golden child". However, I felt so guilty about the thing at 17, that I went and told my parents what I had done. 😂

As an INTP I know that some people don’t understand our schedules as it is more complex to the average person but it usually goes like this (my own experience) 1. Random bursts of energy to do something 2. Get sidetracked by something far more entertaining 3. Remember what we did and start it again 4. basically 2 again. And it repeats until we (or I ) finish. Doesn’t matter what but we finish something.

INFP here. I'm actually a grown ass adult in my own space who, thanks to an INFJ friend/spiritual teacher, **finally** f'ing realized two years ago that my biological father was gaslighting the ever-loving shiznit outta me, because he's a covert narcissist, and genuinely never really loved me like I deserved. I finally worked out that he very subtly sabotaged my efforts to get out on my own and be my own damn person. I look back on how I was two years ago and I barely recognize myself, no lie. My friend and our mutual supervisor have been my "Amazing Grace," showing up for me in ways that always bring me to tears just thinking about it. 😢 I've therefore wished with all my heart that said supervisor could be my dad. Living in my parents house without seeing much of a way out until I met my friend/teacher was a helluva drag on my energy. #FightingWithNarcsSucksAss

it needs to be something unfair. INTJs unlike other types, are fully aware of their whole self, and rarely in denial with their weaknesses or dark sides, and how those impede them. so we can’t be insulted in the way others are, by highlighting an aspect that is true that we deny to ourselves- because we don’t deny them. but accusing us of something that isn’t fair, particularly if it suggests being against a moral principle we hold, now that could work. it would work only once, because after the insult you’d be dead to us and nothing you say can hold any weight forever after. but that first time would be insulting.

I think it's when making an ideal of perfection the enemy of the good. So, while thinking up a more accurate, logically consistent solution, it would be overthinking if it's attempting to come up with the correct answer sacrificing the social skills necessary to deliver the information, drawing people away from their responsibilities including taking care of spiritual, emotional, and physical health. It can be time dependent. So for an example, I could have put more thought into my answer but I think with the time I have, I'd be overthinking the answer in this moment. Whereas, if I had more time, the time I thought to think here would be under thinking relative to that circumstance. If no good came from my answer to you, or it wasn't neutral, then I under thought my response. Since the correct amount of thinking would be to recognize my limitations and not leave anything at all if I didn't think I could say anything positive. People don't have perfect intellects and there's only so much time in the day so we'll never get all the answers we want and attempting to think our way to perfection will be like Icarus flying too close to the sun sorta deal. Hope this made sense, or at least enjoyable to read! Take care!
