That is true 😂 we are the kind of people who would keep in the rage and come up with a witty comeback 7 months later. Although, it's different when I'm around people I'm comfortable with. I usually come up with burning comebacks and roast my ESTP brother, he gets startled for a moment and then he is like " wow, gimme a high five".

INFP here... that was perfect, and it reminds me of a strategy I used to protect a kid who was being bullied when I worked at an after school program. I was at a table with a group of girls doing an art project together. One girl looked at the awkward girl at the table and said, "you know what? You're really weird." The other girls at the table started to agree with her. I knew all of the kids at the table really liked me, and I wanted to make sure the awkward girl would be okay, so instead of punishing anyone, I took a different route. I looked at the awkward girl and said, "OMG, you're weird?!? I am too!!!" Then I made some kind of silly face that made the awkward girl laugh, and her tension completely dissipated. Then the other girls freaked out and started insisting that they were weird too. Sometimes being weird is the best strategy. They all went home happy and hopefully learned a lesson.

@magicalsimmy
@magicalsimmy 6 ай бұрын
As a child-free INFP with two small dogs who lives in a climate with long winters, I can confirm they are MUCH more work than cats. Dogs are also extrovert friendly animals - you walk them, and people and kids often come running up to you wanting to pet them or “greet” with their much larger dog, and then you have to talk to them and have a discussion about whether or not your/their dog is “friendly” when you just want to finish the walk in silence and go home. It’s so awkward. Plus dogs eat everything they find outside, and that can be dangerous and a source of worry and paranoia. You have to be so watchful. Definitely go with small dogs if you want a dog, though. With indoor cats, you stay the hell indoors with them, and the only real danger to them is time or tripping over them. Lol!

I am an INFJ... and yes I am a people-pleaser, and yes it takes a lot to push me to a point of anger... but if you push me past my limit when it comes to my values and abilities... then things get very serious very fast and the anger that comes out of me (built from occasion after the occasion of you hurting me) is very shocking

Just no on this subject though, if your only focus is negative aspects of society as INFJ and not seeing potential future coming from your actions, something is off at that point. This is more with FJ bringing up current buzz so they end up pleasing more people, it's very... superficial for how much substance there is in this subject. It's also rich that FJ represents this as "general INFJ", when he himself recently was happy to have a child. Anyways, poor choice this time around, it brought in unrefined personal opinion/superficial subject that pleases majority instead of what should have been.

i mean, if you’re gonna be saying a series of stupidity, i’m gonna be pointing out the stupidity so that you don’t infect unsuspecting people with your stupidity. maybe that’s ‘negativity’ but consider how that somehow doesn’t happen when i’m around people who *don’t* say irredeemably dumb and potentially dangerous things. in fact, intjs can be glowingly constructive when hearing insightful or visionary ideas, coz then we’re using our mind to tweak it to make it even more effective, rather than fixing it to make it at least not a dumpster fire.

As an ISTJ, I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to tell someone off but have to stifle it ‘cause I’d rather avoid a drama fest and an even longer conversation. Better yet, I’ve mastered ignoring them to the point that people don’t usually insult me to my face anymore since they can’t get a rise out of me. Now I just hear it through the grapevine and laugh my butt off at the stupidity lol.

Well, if someone insults me to my face like that I usually tell them how they are wrong or be like “I know, your point being?” (depending on what the insult is for), tbf it rarely happened to me. If it is just overheard chatter, yeah I analyse it and then ignore it. That is a nice way too though (unless they keep persisting in order to see how much you can ignore I guess), most people like that wont listen to reason anyway. Reminds me of when me and a few classmates used to do “try not to laugh” challenges back in 5th grade and I was so good at it they gave up after a few attempts

@@starz5282 I usually only get confrontational if it has to do with someone else, like when my sister insists that for thanksgiving our mom made hotdogs and macaroni salad when she was young (large age gap between me and my older siblings) . I just tell her, “yeah, mom has pictures and videos of it.” I’ve learned to end the fever dream memory game my siblings play pretty quick using that line. I’m thankful my mom has so my pictures and videos to prove no hotdogs or macaroni salad was served on thanksgiving lol. Also my nephews are usually around so I try to be as civil as possible. Otherwise I just don’t care to waste my time on people being rude/stupid about their opinions of me.

You definitely insult an ISTJ at your peril. Just because we tend to be very seethingly quiet, people tend to assume we're an easy mark. We use few words but, those words are deadly accurate. I'm an ISTJ raised by an ISTJ so, it gets pretty ugly when people attack me. My favorite workplace exchange: Them: "You're so mean! You can send someone into therapy in 10 words or less." Me: : "It's 10 words or FEWER, stupid."
