More AliExpress GPU goodness! This time it's the Mllse ("Mill-see"? "Mill-zee"? *Incomprehensible guttural sounds*? Who knows...) RTX 2060 Super, a card that was definitely used for mining but then remanufactured and can be had, right now for about $160 anywhere in the world!

Yeah, the whole point is comparing it to a less powerful card. It was chosen for a reason. Nobody shopping for a 2060 Super right now, of any kind, has a card like a 1080, or a 2070, or an RX 6600, because their cards are fine and they know it; people looking at these overwhelmingly are buyers looking to upgrade from cards like GTX 970s and 1050Tis, RX 480s and 580s, or maybe GTX 1660s and 5600XTs.

this on sale for like 120-130 bucks would be insanely good value. Getting access to DLSS at such a low price with actually decent performance would be a game changer for budget buyers. local used markets are just so inconsistent. getting these from a place like aliexpress makes it a much more viable option to a wider audience.

It's a solid little unit and even handled RT in Forza! If you can get past the locked power and voltage controls (and resulting slight decrease in horsepower) it's not a bad buy at all. Cooler is basic and the back plate is plastic, but it does what it claims and doesn't complain. The GPU vendor ID shows up as I (I think?) Manli for this one, though that may vary, so if someone wants to tinker it *might* be possible to swap vBIOS and restore power controls, too! Or it'll brick the card...always a gamble, and I didn't feel lucky with this one.

Hey a while ago i noticed the LGA 3647 Gen 1 xeon gold cpus were starting to flood the market, paired with a dell precision 7820 workstation (apparently HP z6 g4 is awful) it could be an interesting big socket build. Cpus like the xeon gold 6138 go for like $30 with 20 cores and a boost clock of 3.7GHz

@itscine Fortnite runs terribly on everything with Nanite and Lumen enabled. Also try removing the high res texture pack from within the Epic Games launcher.

I'd agree, for the NA market anyway. Outside the States, Mexico, and Canada, it probably depends heavily on what your domestic market looks like and how your country handles VAT. Brazil, in particular, comes to mind (and like 8% of this channel's views come from there). If a 3060 is in budget and you (understandably) don't have much faith in the warranty offered by Mllse/JieShuo/SJS/whomever, it's certainly a better option. As are the $200 6600 XTs, one of which was reviewed here a few months back.

Depends on how much power your CPU is drawing, but in general, this card should be fine on 500W. And thank you for the kind words!

For AMD it'd be around the RX 6600 or RX 5700, the non-XT ones.

Unfortunately, AliExpress seems to do some dynamic pricing, and this model increased in price dramatically before selling out. The rest of the listings for 2060 Supers are in the $185 to $210 range from what I see now, which may be anywhere from "okay" to "terrible" pricing depending on your local secondhand market. For the right price, a 2060S is a nice step up from a 1660Ti, if for nothing more than the extra VRAM. But you're in the same price range as the (even better) 6600XT when you're looking at ~$200. There's a video up here going over a JieShuo badged (actual PowerColor) RX 6600XT that you might want to check out.

Still chugging along! And thankful for it. Been finishing up the next video, but occasionally getting distracted by a Fortnite session or two...and Fortnite is peaking over 20GB of RAM utilization!!

Does the card work with the Nvidia software and drivers?

Sure does. It's a full desktop RTX 2060 Super die, not one of the laptop dies Frankensteined on a desktop PCB. Official drivers and GeForce Experience worked without issue.

It could be because of EU laws where you can't have hidden fees and everything must be charged at checkout

@@doesitgame Looking at PCPartPicker, cheapest it found was a Gigabyte Winforce OC RTX 3050 for €247, though thats a US import, so it won't ship to me here in Ireland, or anyone not in the UK. Could include territories like Northern Ireland and Scotland. More expensive than the RTX 2060, but honestly even at that price point, I'd pay the extra €50 for the peace of mind and faster shipping. Not to mention all the software-locked features and potentially longer driver support.
