NSDQ 1984-1985. My time in the 160th really helped me on my 3 tours in Iraq with the Alabama Army National Guard. Old Night Stalkers never die they they just show where you need them plus or minus 30 seconds any where any time............................

The qualifications just for the pilots to try out is insane
@carsonkouts4 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonSmith-vd9qc lol try out? wtf are you talking about. this isnt a high school volleyball team and there are no tryouts. You put in a packet and either you get orders to go to selection or you do not. The majority of what sets nightstalkers aside from big army are skills learned after making it into the unit.
@BrandonSmith-vd9qc4 жыл бұрын
@@carsonkouts yeah but everyone that's in the unit passed selection to get there so yes try out for the unit through trying through selection and since they're forcing for 160th through DA selection and not sf trust me its try out, 2 got DA selected from my unit 1 15U and a 15T
@carsonkouts4 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonSmith-vd9qc I spent 6 years in 4th battalion out of fort lewis. I actually went through green platoon. So trust me, it's not a pilot try out. the skills tested in green platoon has nothing to do with your job once you get to the unit, INCLUDING pilots. that is what BMQ, or basic mission qualification is for. Green platoon is meant to weed out quitters.Thats basically it. There is no "Oh this pilot is exceptionally talented, he makes it over this pilot who cant land as smoothly", which is what your original comment is inferring.
@BrandonSmith-vd9qc4 жыл бұрын
@@carsonkouts I wasnt inferring to that at all. I know you have to go through green platoon and be qualified BUT pilots have more rigorous qualifications they have to have like night flight hours etc and prove themselves in the unit just like everyone else. I'm just saying to get to be a night stalker you have to prove yourself in green platoon just to say you're good enough with a mind set to be able to handle the unit. Everything else comes after.

Any mission, any time well life gave you one when you were born into this world and that mission is to simply survive......doing it by yourself can prove to be difficult doing it with the comfort of the masses proves to be much easier and effective. But Life's survival is a Special Mission as Special Operations Group puts it one that will take great amounts of knowledge and wisdom to ensure your making the best choice and devising the best strategy to overcome all the obstacles in your way of survival.
