English Mastiffs take best to gentle training. This dog breed has an innate wariness to strangers that makes early training and socialization essential. The dog owner sent Mini - the English Mastiff in this video - to a training camp when it was a puppy. While that might give Mini necessary training, I don't think the approach took care of the socialization part. Being sent to a training camp at an early age did not only deprive Mini of the chance to bond with its owners, but also a chance to socialize with humans. (Furthermore, who knows what Mini went through at that training camp?!) Mini's timid personality was a result of its upbring rather than its intrinsic nature.
