164-Way Vertical World Record at Skydive Chicago - Insider's View

8 жыл бұрынIn 2015 I took a leap of faith and drove across the country to take a position managing digital communications at Skydive Chicago for the '15 season.
The 164-way Vertical (head down) record was set Friday, July 31, 2015 and still holds.
This was a side project created solely out of my love for editing and is not the "professional" version-Thanks to y'all who encouraged me. Thank you Rook Nelson for an amazing experience.

Wow a 164 vertical world record. I remember when the first 100 way was made. Skydiving has advanced over the years. I am still a student skydiver and loving ever jump. Blue skies to all you skydives out there.

Wow, impressive. I watched and studied the films of the record when it was back in the 140's. 15+ years ago. "Once you have flown you will walk the Earth with your eyes towards the heavens, for there you have been, and there you long to return." Leonardo.

Wow fabulous, skydiving shaw has progressed since my days back in late 70s early 80s, when we thought we were good putting 8 to10 ways together, congratulations from a 70 year old British skydiver from eagle sky sports lympne near Ashford.

I'm certainly not the poster child for adventure, but for my 28th birthday wayyy 7 years ago (yikes!) I challenged myself to go skydiving. Nobody would go with me but I somehow still went. Then I learned to Skydive on my own. Haven't jumped recently but it's not over for me. I encourage some outside comfort zone stepping :)

I jump out of high performance aircraft via static lines for a living and yet I have never seen that volume of jumpers at one time like that. Even WW2 combat jumps didn't even see that kind of volume of jumpers exiting planes. Obviously, more people jumped at once during those times, but not this kind rate.
