This is a pretty cool little display piece, honestly, I feel like you could relatively easily fix the seam lines, and just panel wash the whole thing, and it would look absolutely fantastic. I kind of want one so I can do just that.

I was this thinkin more like the size of a basketball so it'd go with 1/72 scale models. It might even need to be a lot bigger than that to go with 1/72 scale lol. That size might fit 1/144 or smaller lol

These kits are quite common in my local toy store. In fact, I've thinking of getting a x-wing fighter mdel kit someday (either from the original trilogy or the new trilogy)

I was hoping it'd be more like the size of a basketball so it'd go with 1/72 scale models. It might even need to be a lot bigger than that to go with 1/72 scale lol. That size might fit 1/144 or smaller lol

Watch out with what kind of panel liner you use. Tamiya panel liner melts the Bandai Star Wars kit, even with top coat.

Cyprien Pogu Because it is enamel paint. To panel line OOB, use alcohol based ink, the kind found in a fine point marker.

christian kumara putra Should clarify, it makes plastic more fragile. I once spilled enamel thinner and when I noticed 10 minutes later that a clear part cracked.

I know the base is different but is the kit the same? Same size and details as this one?

ZakuAurelius same detail but it comes with clear bases and vinyl decals for the bases

@@ZakuAurelius I'm not sure if it's the quality of the video but the double pack is different. The star destroyer is the light grey almost white plastic while the death star is a darker grey and not a white color like this solo death star version and star destroyer

I wish Bandai put out more capital ships in their vehicle line of SW. so far only Death Star II and a Star Destroyer. I can think of at least 5 more capital ships they could make. And they still haven’t made any vehicles from the prequels. I guess patience is required.

It isn't. The issue with MGs is they've become more sophisticated and detailed which takes more time to develop. Especially tooling since they do *a lot* of filing by hand.
