I haven't used 16 gb ram since Windows 7. 32 is nice helps with processes running in the background such as antivirus. Helps if using two screens or monitors. I want my computer to work for me not me for my computer. I shouldn't have to open one app or program then close it out. The difference is pretty much $50.

Hey man, I’m really confused whether to get one of two different laptops. I will list the specs below and I’d really appreciate it if you can give me your opinion on which I should get: Zephyrus g14: 14” display. OLED 3K 120 Hz Ryzen 9 8945HS 32 GB RAM GeForce RTX 4070 1 TB SSD Zephyrus G16: 16” display. OLED 2.5K 240 Hz Intel Core Ultra 9 16 GB RAM GeForce RTX 4070 1 TB SSD Please keep in mind that the ram in these laptops is soldered in so I don’t have the option to upgrade it later on. What I really want is the G16. I really want the larger display (since it’ll be the only display I’ll have) and the dark grey color it comes in (unlike the g14 which only comes in a white color). It also has a higher refresh rate, and a better CPU. Everything about it is better…except for the ram. I’m worried that I’ll face problems with the RAM in the long run since I’m planning on keeping this laptop for atleast 5 years. I’m getting this for some gaming (mainly games such as COD, GTA, and some others) in addition to school work (which won’t be demanding). I like everything about the G16 more except for obviously the ram. Do you think this difference in ram is worth me choosing the g14 instead?

My MSI laptop comes with different lighting options for the keyboard. I liked the wave that my old laptop used to do. If you peak at the vids from 6 months ago you'll see what I mean 🙌

You just can't keep up - at this point 48 GB or even 64 GB of RAM is you want to future proof yourself right?

But doesn’t your processor matter too? 32gb won’t matter if your processor is still only 2.40ghz right?

I have the 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900H, I think it operates at 2.6 at default, but can boost much higher. 2.4 GHz would give an idea about performance of the machine, but it wouldn't directly dictate RAM compatibility. If you'd be near maxing out 16 gb RAM, I'd assume an upgrade to 32 gb RAM would greatly improve performance. If I am incorrect, please enlighten me. I'm always eager to learn...

Bro ram is completely different from SSD. SSD is used it memory for example 512gb storage SSD or 1tb storage SSD sometimes it maybe hdd. SSD > HDD. Ram is completely different from these

That type of memory (storage memory) doesn't make performance better. It only allows you to have more photos, videos, files and install more programs on your computer.

that doesn't increase any performance. if you run out of storage you can always just buy an external ssd
