He's piloted the fastest planes, flown on two space shuttle missions and been the first Canadian to walk in space. Now Chris Hadfield is preparing for the mission of a lifetime.

Chris is an inspiration because he puts it all into perspective. He realizes the value of Mother Earth and humanity's fragile place in the cosmos. He isn't in his profession for fame and glory but to make the whole world a better place by being an ambassador and an educator. His terrific "down to earth" personality and charisma has rekindled the interest of millions of young people not only in space but also about our fragile planet. Humble but SO accomplished. The human race needs more of his kind to explore, discover and keep the spark of adventure alive. What a legacy. He is a man who lived life to the max but did so for the benefit of many.

As Chris Hadfield said in his song ISS (Is Somebody Singing)- "You can't make out borders from up here, just a spinning ball within a tiny atmosphere." The fights our nations have is meaningless. One wants to kill everyone, and one wants to make the other just like they are. That is usually how the 2 sides of war are. Neither of them get what they want and end up with many people dead for nothing.

7:00 - 7:52 Even when you are capable of anything a human can realistically be capable of, the universe and the world, the fact that we're out here with our creations, rather than just nature on its own, is stupefying and dumbfounding. How far we have gotten as a species. I couldn't have said it better than how Chris described it though.

Lots of respect from me to them.
@nicholashylton68578 жыл бұрын
+RID COMICS Oddly enough, Chris Hadfield has said that he is not a fan of heights either. Standing close to cliffs... dining in glass bottomed restaurants in skyscrapers, et cetera are things that gives him the willies! But viewing Earth from orbit while spacewalking? Pushing jets to their limits as a test pilot? Riding a controlled explosion for ~20 minutes? He's cool with that.
