There was an even worse case like this in Canada. Karla Homolka was heavily involved in drugging, r***, and m***** of 3 girls and almost a 4th. One of the 3 was her sister, who's death was ruled accidental, but she was still r**** by Homolka's boyfriend with Holmolka administering drugs and assistance. (I'm tired of trying to self-censor to avoid comment deletion, so i'm going to cut to the chase. Censorship is vile. KZfaq is shit). Anyways, she spills the beans on her boyfriend Paul, and plays the victim, despite heavy involvement, and possibly being the incitement to at least one of the murders, and gets 12 years on a manslaughter (not murder) charge. She's been free since 2005. She even had a kid and tried to start a family.

Regardless of how suddenly he made the decision to shoot her instead of himself, there was no reason for him to think his kids wouldn't be in the house to witness whatever he was going to do. Even if he did just intend on hurting her like he said, he taunted her after shooting her, again, right in front of his sons. Her "Invaluable co-operation" was simply her coping a plea deal because she knew she was guilty but had enough information to take down the whole operation, information she likely only had because she held such a prominant role. The Allison Mack situation makes me sick. Just because she was a female and "cooperated" with Police to bring down the "ringleader", she was just as guilty as he was. If not more so. Because she was a woman, justice swayed her way. She knew what she was doing.

Not defending Alison Mack. I’ve been in an abusive relationship where my partner coerced me into getting drugs for her and do illegal things. I did not have an issue with her smoking weed, but I had no interest in it and wanted nothing to with her acquiring it. She would start huge fights and would keep me awake for several days. Threaten to kill my dog while I was at work. Spend every penny I made. She demanded I do everything for her, go get her food, go get her cigarettes, pay for everything. You would be surprised how easy it is to get a person to do strange, unethical things, by taking away something as simple as sleep.

She did a lot more than bring down the ringleader....she also supplied evidence to charge another 50 or so people that would have never been charged without her help. What she did was NOT as bad as people act. ALL of those women chose to follow what she and others said and that is on THEM. These were women in their late 20s to late 40s and as such made their OWN decisions. I have a hard time feeling sympathy for ANY of those NXIVM women.....they were bored rich women who got scammed. Most aspects of what came out sound strikingly familiar to what Scientology is known for minus the branding. But it depends on the details of the crimes. Most women are unable to do the same devastating damage in a rape. Yes there should. Don’t act like the system can’t get abused. Imagine you’re innocent and someone claims you raped her/him sixty years ago…how can you possibly prove your innocence? It’ll be only your word against that of the plaintiff, and guess where the sympathy will lie in this metoo-times…

@@donaldvanvliet9039If your wife , girlfriend or daughter was raped you might have a different attitude. If a woman had the shit beat out of her and raped and there's DNA evidence do you think the rapist should walk free because of the elapse of time? I'm Irish and there's no statute of limitations on any crime in Ireland. With the break through of DNA shit balls who thought they got away with rape are being picked up 25 years + later and going to prison. Proper order too.

That's not true. The ppl behind this vid did an awful research (if any). She wasn't "running" NXIVM. Not at all. She was A VICTIM of the cult, like every other woman that fell prey to its twisted "leader". The guy was an expert brainwashing ppl and Mack was just a naive person with very low self esteem. 3 days in prison is hell. 3 years is more than enough for just being a brainwashed victim imho.

That true women usually get lighter sentences. You’ll usually have to go case by case study to find out why the other woman got a lighter sentence. I’m only referring to Allison case here and yes it definitely changes the fact. Allison plea deal is what got her such a light sentence it had nothing to do with gender. Men get plea deal just the same as women do just like that freak Jared Fogle he definitely didn’t get the time that he deserved. Unfortunately Plea deal gets women and men lighter senses. If it wasn’t for their plea deal they both would’ve gotten the time they deserved and not what they got. Personally I believe plea deals should be abolished. Let women and men get the sentence they truly deserve.

Ms. Mack, media defense? when? where? how? every picture, mention, comic book appearance, or cameo computer generated of her and her role in Smallville has been REMOVED by DC. the only way you can see her in that role, is if you own the 'period DVDs' of Smallville or the files of the episodes appear on the 'grey web' streaming sites. even her CHARACTER's name is abbreviated or barely. even. MENTIONED in PASSING by DC properties since her crimes were first brought to light. during the entire TV 'multiverse' of Arrow-verse shows based on DC properties, since her first arrest, has been like that... AND except for Supergirl which started on another network... the whole Arrow-verse was broadcasted/licensed/owned on/by the WB/CW cable TV network just like Smallville was. all the other Smallville seminal stars have gone on to other roles in DC properties, or other acting gigs, or retired quietly, Mr. Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor in Smallville) has continued his career in various way... but Ms. Mack? she'll never even be considered by a convention or anybody else as a 'possible guest-star/visitor/celebrity'. media defense, HAH! blacklisting is a thing.
