As a father, I agree 100% with what "Zac" said. And that is just how I treated my girlfriend (now wife), we waited and we are both so glad we did. My girlfriend knew I treated her with respect, and I loved her because of who she is/was. 32 Years and going strong. And, I was able to tell my daughter to ONLY date men that respected her...now she is married to a great guy.

Thats her father how else is he going to react it's pure instinct.

Such a funny but also eye-opening and thought-provoking scene! Imagine, finding out your daughter was ready to give herself up so easily and sleep with some random bad-boy kid who just wants to treat her like a number and whatever pornographyy-inspired dehumanization he wanted to do with her... There's so much one could unpack from this scene! There's so much interesting, if not important, discussion regarding our actions and our treatment of each other. And, more so, learning and accepting the value of love and respect. To be fair, yes, we all have needs, and we all want to do what we want, and not many people will like a scary authoritarian prude telling them what to do. But, even though we all make mistakes and have needs, we all have value too. So, needs and desires for love and intimacy is best balanced with respect of ourselves and other people so we don't end up making mistakes that cause problems and hurt for others along the way. Its best to balance our own desires with our value of others. It may seem prude perhaps but we all know deep inside of us at one point in life between what is good and what is not, and that sense really can help us build strong families, relationships, and communities instead of hurting and broken ones. Going back to the scene, imagine being in the shoes of the father: after investing so much love and effort into a daughter (or son), and, in knowing how precious and valuable she is, if this was real, that would have been so crushing and hard to not stay in character for a father. Its quiet the scene, though lighthearted, brings a lot of interesting discussion to the forefront. Deep stuff from such a comedic scene.

I really, really love this speech. It's totally backwards from what you usually hear in the media and I feel it should be encouraged.
