FIRST TIME TRYING AUTHENTIC FILIPINO BUFFET IN LAS VEGAS CHINATOWN!
Las Vegas, Nevada - I am so glad we went to Nanay Gloria Filipino Buffet. It’s been so long since I’ve eaten any Filipino food. Going to this buffet satisfied all my cravings for good, authentic Filipino food. The buffet is set up where you go pay and then you go through the buffet line. The owners and staff are super friendly, and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. They have a huge selection of Filipino food and I like the fact that they just had Filipino food on the buffet. You won’t find french fries or frozen pizza.
As far as I know, there are only 2 Filipino buffets in the Vegas area. I may have to go back to Vegas and try the other restaurant. Or I could make my way to the Philippines and try some Kare Kare and Sisig over there. What do you guys think? Counterpoint is a feature in Filipino cuisine which normally comes in a pairing of something sweet with something salty. You will find out when you try the food there....

@@user-cp7nb8ce1i I love eating that way, with a combination of salty, sweet, spicy, tangy, etc. I could have eaten till my gut burst, but wanted to be able to walk out the door to leave...lol.

Filipino cuisine centres around the combination of sweet (tamis), sour (asim), and salty (alat), although among Muslim Filipinos, spicy (anghang) is a base of cooking flavor. Love the background music !!!

the first chicken dish is not chicken red curry. there is no curry involved in that dish. it is called chicken afritada.

@@grifsfoodandtravel you’re welcome. @ 01:44 that is not lentil and mixed veggies. that is called “Bopis” authentically it is made with beef lungs but you cant find it in america so they use beef heart and pork ears. if you go to philippines that is one of many authentic dishes you can only find there.

I went last saturday.food was reheat and dry.fry skin chicken was very hard to eat.ill go asia buffet next time..he got paid to make this.i can't believe he sold himself for a plate of food

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. On the day we went, the food was awesome. Also we went right when they opened, so we had the fresh buffet food. Oh, also I never get paid to eat anywhere. But I do enjoy supporting smaller, local restaurants. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Sir, we don't eat like that. You can't have all food on your plate. Only one dish at a time so you can savor each dish. That's not the right way to eat Filipino food
