सामूहिक विवाह में कई जोड़ों को एक साथ परिणय सूत्र में बंधते तो देखते रहते हैं, लेकिन संयुक्त परिवार में 17 चचेरे भाई बहनों की एक साथ शादी का नजारा सचमुच अद्भुत रहा। राजस्थान के बीकानेर क्षेत्र में ऐसा ही अनोखा दृश्य देखने को मिला। गांव लालमदेसर छोटा में 12 दूल्हे बारात लेकर पहुंचे, तो उनकी खातिरदारी में पूरा गांव जुट गया। इससे पहले सोमवार मंगलवार मध्य रात्रि पांच चचेरे भाई शादी के बंधन में बंधे थे . गांव के सुरजाराम गोदारा ने संयुक्त परिवार में किफायत की एक मिसाल कायम करने के लिए अपने 17 पोते पोतियों का एक साथ विवाह रखा। इसके लिए शादी का निमंत्रण कार्ड भी एक ही छपाया गया। जिसमें पांच पौत्रों को आयुष्मान और 12 पौत्रियों को आयुष्मती के रूप में लिखाया गया। पांचों दूल्हों की एक ही समय में बारात रवानगी की गई। पोतियों को ब्याहने आने वाले बारातियों के स्वागत कार्यक्रम भी एक ही समय दर्ज किया गया। मंगलवार रात को एक एक कर 12 बारातें गांव में पहुंचीं। सुरजाराम के घर शादी का बड़ा शामियाना लगाया गया। बारातों को रात में रोकने की व्यवस्था गांव में अलग अलग जगह की गई। जानकारी के अनुसार करीब 300 गाड़ियों में 12 बारात के लोग पहुंचे . विवाह समारोह में पहुंची 12 बारातों को रोकने के लिए गांव में ही बड़े-बड़े 6 घरों में व्यवस्था की गई थी। जिन घरों में बारात को ठहराया गया था, उन्हें लाइट और फूलों से सजाया गया। इसके साथ ही बारातियों के रुकने के लिए 800 पलंग मंगवाए गए थे। इन 6 घरों में सो सो पलंग की व्यवस्था की गई बाकी दो सो पलंग रिजर्व में रखे . 17 भाई बहनों की शादी का कार्ड भी एक ही था। कार्ड में 123 लोगों के नाम थे। इनमें से 6 तो जनप्रतिनिधि थे, बाकी परिवार के सदस्यों के नाम थे
We often see many couples tying the knot together in mass marriages, but the sight of 17 cousins and sisters getting married together in a joint family was truly amazing. A similar unique scene was seen in Bikaner region of Rajasthan. When 12 grooms arrived in village Lalmadesar Chhota with a wedding procession, the entire village gathered to welcome them. Earlier, on Monday Tuesday midnight, five cousins got married. Surjaram Godara of the village organized the marriage of his 17 grandchildren together to set an example of thrift in a joint family. For this, only one wedding invitation card was printed. In which five grandsons were written as Ayushman and 12 granddaughters were written as Ayushmati. The wedding procession of all five grooms was sent out at the same time. The welcome program of the wedding procession coming to marry the granddaughters was also recorded at the same time. On Tuesday night, 12 wedding processions reached the village one by one. A big wedding tent was set up at Surjaram's house. Arrangements to stop the wedding processions at night were made at different places in the village. According to the information, 12 wedding procession people arrived in about 300 vehicles. Arrangements were made in six big houses in the village itself to stop the 12 wedding processions that had reached the wedding ceremony. The houses where the wedding procession was held were decorated with lights and flowers. Along with this, 800 beds were ordered for the wedding guests to stay. In these 6 houses, arrangements were made for 200 beds and the remaining 200 beds were kept in reserve. The wedding cards of 17 brothers and sisters were also the same. There were names of 123 people in the card. Of these, 6 were public representatives, the rest were names of family members.
