According to Osteen, you've never been wretched or dirty, you just haven't figured out how awesome you are yet. i find especially in my generation, the self helps stuff goes on and on. I have been in no church or self help group or book that says we are wretched. I have been in churches that mention sin, especially woman that sin. lol. I find talking about this hard because i get the, oh you need help! You have no self esteem. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. hey Betty, I appreciate your humility and quest for answers. I’ve only been a believer for 2 years, so I don’t want to give off the impression that I know everything - I still have a lot to learn. But I am almost certain that Copeland is a false teacher. The prosperity gospel that he teaches/defends goes against everything Jesus taught, and even what St. Paul said in 1 Timothy 6. I think Copeland’s ministry is quite dangerous, especially since it reeks of greed and materialism. Something isn’t right in my spirit when I see ministries like his. Altar calls were invented by Charles Finney in the 1840's. Frankly, you don't see those in the Book of Acts. What you see in Acts is preaching, and then, it's the sinners who cry out "what shall we do, " or "what must we do to be saved." That's real biblical repentance that leads to genuine conversions.

I've been drunk in the spirit. I didn't know what the heck was happening until my mom told me. We were having bible study and praying for a good 30-45 min and I opened my eyes and was super lightheaded and felt so peaceful and relaxed. They noticed me acting strange and asked me what's wrong.. I said I don't know I feel really weird.. And she said "I think you're drunk in the spirit" and I started crying and praising GOD. Such a great experience!

A very rich man who teaches that he needs money to preach the gospel. Jesus told his disciples to go out with no money or even food. My whole family did when I was a child. I was saved 2 months ago and now the only Christian in the family. I have been ridiculed for my belief by family , and also found myself separating from them as much as I can. All this started happening before I even came across it in the Scriptures. God's word is THE TRUTH. Praise the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ
