First of all, you look great makeup free. I have lots of the neat little travel gadgets you've mentioned already, but in addition, I have a pair of mini binoculars and invested in a pair for hubby (I think we'll get use out of them between Boston and Montreal). I'm sure hubby doesn't need any more Hawaiian shirts. He's a civilian contracted instructor at CFB Camp Borden (FYI, a Canadian military base), and if he's not in one, people notice, including his students. Anyone looking for reasonably priced, unique Hawaiian shirts, his favorite websites are Hardaddy and Temu. But for Canadian viewers, Giant Tiger has been a good source too. I've found a few dresses on Temu and, of all places, Old Navy (I find fit and flare with smocked backs do quite well on my full figure, especially the sleeveless midi floral with denim color background). I definitely have enough choices, including for orange night, to keep me dressed up, which is probably the first time in 3 years (our older son's wedding), and however long ago we went to a military Christmas party (I'm thinking 2012?). I like the silicon sleeve for curling irons. I usually use a face towel soaked with cold water and wrap it around the curling iron until it’s cool enough to put in our luggage.

I used that blue striped beach bag as my carry on onto the ship because it was big enough to fit my cpap machine PLUS accessories in addition to some other stuff. LOVE that bag. (Shoulder straps aren't the most comfortable but the roominess couldn't be beat.)

My cruise/travel essentials that I now swear by were both bought on your suggestion. 1) the pill box/organiser. When not traveling, I keep it in my purse. Perfect for carrying all my OTC pain relievers and stomach ailment remedies. 2) my biggest flight barrier my whole life has been how badly my ears hurt when flying. Taking Sudafed, starting the day before my flight helped immensely, but it was those ear pressure relief plugs that you suggested that took away most of the remaining pain. THANK you!

Many good ideas, some i have been doing. My carry- under plane seat bag , i should've got with wheels. Heavy to carry through ship embarkation &disembarking. I had a waterproof cell holder, it broke, i will use pouch i have for now. You so right, these items so helpful

I absolutely love that tropical shirt. I kinda went overboard this cruise and ordered several coordinating outfit from SHEIN other than elegant night and maybe the white party I will be rocking comfy shorts and tropical shirts. You look great without makeup!!! I am jealous... Something new I have been using is bar shampoo and creme rinse. The castor oil shampoo bar from Amazon has brought me compliments on how healthy my hair looks now. You can cut off a smaller piece of the bars for travel...very light and you can pack them in carry on. I am loving them so much that I now use them at home as well.

Hi Ilana I have the same problem as Frank with flying … my poor ears, I also use earplanes and I take an antihistamine and chew gum and drink water … they hurt the most during the landing it’s very stressful for me but it’s what you gotta do if you want to fly somewhere. Thanks for sharing 😊

I have been using body glide for a couple years while backpacking.

I have used body Glide since I had a horrible fall in 2022. I now have one knee that is 2 inches larger than the other knee. So I use bodyglide on the inside of my larger knee, and it helps to prevent any chafing or discomfort. My granddaughter who is only 10 years old uses this for running 1 mile events. My daughter-in-law also uses this when she's running marathons.

Great tips as always Ilana! I bought a beautiful crochet jute bag from an Etsy store, the woman artisan was in Latvia. I love it 😻 I thrifted a beautiful white crinkle cotton shift dress for $8, it is new. The same day I thrifted a like new Travelite brand personal bag, it’s a quality German brand, $4 and not a spot on it. All of my husband’s Tommy Bahama and Robert Graham shirts are thrifted lol 🤣

Anti-chafe products are a great tip! I’ve used Glide for triathlons to deal with wetsuit rubbing, but the Glide for Her is straight pink tax! The blue stick is actually more product for the same price. There are also other products from drug store brands like Monistat (its a tube cream to powder) that are also good. My husband prefers the cream or spray to powder products.

For excursions I've swapped to those sling bags you can wear in front of you and a passport holder fit right inside it so I'm able to keep passport and all my other cards in one spot

Fanny pack is my go to. It's around my waist and no worries..waterproof too; we sun screen up before we leave our cabins..we carry nothing but our drinks. We wear swim shorts or swim skirts we are mindful of others..so so many behinds on the last cruise I had nightmares! And 90% of the behinds needed to be HIDDEN..😬 thanks for all the tips..drinks and a waterproof Fanny pack👍🏾

It’s definitely not ! I leave my “cruise” stuff in my suitecase and it just stores there lol. My snorkel and stuff. And my toiletries bag.

Torrid makes some of the best fitting women’s swimsuits out there. Definitely a must have for plus size swimwear. KohKoh is a great brand for dresses on Amazon in a wide range of sizes too.

I’m so glad I found your channel! I’m planning my triple 20 birthday cruise in November and have learned so much from you. I ordered your planner and almost everything you suggested from Amazon! The Level 8 luggage is incredible. I got the 3 piece set and packing cubes which I’ve already started using on several trips. Love them! I’m making birthday goody bags for my 9 girlfriends that will be going. We have 4 mini suites all together. We will be on the Regal Princess. Do you know if all the balconies can be opened to make one large one? Thank you for all you do!
