Still a really good fight. There were a lot of dialogue changes like a lower tone on the lines before he gets Loki and his “final” lines before he shoots his copy.

I really wish they had kept the original delivery of "To prove I'm better than you" but the delivery in this works well with the previous few lines that weren't in P5. Still, combining the best of both monologues into one would be really cool.

Undoubtedly a great boss fight. Imo tho, I was more on my toes against Shido and The Dreamer, especially the former.

By far the best "Awakening" Although technically he's had the power for a while already, the awakening and will power themes play so I guess this classifies as such

I prefer the original delivery of "To prove I'm better than you" just because of the sheer amount of emotion behind it

Speed Run Trick: Use Ryuji electric moves to down the cerberus. Then baton pass to joker and use Satenaels black viper to kill the Chu Chuiann. The cerberus will get back up and the attack. Use an eletric item or move to down it again. Then all-out attack it. This will skip the first the part you Akechi in his Robin Hood cloths.

I agree, though they probably thought it was better suited in the Shido boss fight, so that’s where it ended up.

I fought him solo. Then again, Joker was Lv. 99 and had an Okami that was also Lv. 99, max stats, near-full compendium, Almighty Boost/Amp and Concentrate. Akechi may as well have been fighting Godzilla.

NaruKami_ 4 also, unlike other bosses who received changes, minor like Kamoshida or major overhauls like Madarame and Kaneshiro, Akechi seems to be the first boss in the game who is completely unchanged gameplay-wise. Even then, I don’t think any new dialogue is present during the actual fight either (after the fight and the interlude don’t count for changes IMO). Too bad he couldn’t get his own theme. He deserved better than this game’s generic boss theme (I like the generic boss theme, but Akechi deserved better)

Spoiler “ L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L L Maruki in the third semester created a reality where Akechi was alive and other things were changed, when they defeated Maruki the reality turned to normal and Akechi vanished and was dead as originally

Looking at this section of royal, I realize I'm still angry that when he's beaten Akechi regrets are about the public finding out the truth of himself and that he 'couldn't be special' rather than 'the lives i've ruined because I was so blinded by my thirst for revenge'. The game still won't acknowledge that he's the one who killed Futaba's mum by making her collapse and get run over in front of futaba's eyes either. And I find the lack of an option to tell him 'I don't care what you think, you tried to kill joker and ruined both Haru's and futaba's lives' to be very insulting. It makes me feel like the game won't let me be angry with him for the things he's done wrong to the party members when you can express anger towards other bosses in the game for their bad actions.

I think the idea is that your supposed to sympathize with him because Shido ruined his life just he did yours. Royal fixed the writing the best it could considering what they had to work with. That dialog option you suggested wouldn't really make sense though. Considering his personality in the third semester that line would almost seem out of place. In the end hes still a battle lusted pragmatic asshole that hates everyone, he even goes on a tangent at the end saying how hell carve his own path for himself. But even before that, the moment hes back he tries to turn himself into the police. Primarily to take down Shido yes, but assuming Maruki didn't interfere he would have served his sentence.

@@IceQueen975 Child soldier? Nah, this murderer willingly offered his services to Shido and traumatized both Futaba and Haru with no remorse for the harm he's caused others. My empathy is for his victims.
