We start off in Peach Springs, AZ and the John Osterman Gas Station.
Then we’re off to Truxton and the old abandoned Frontier Motel and it’s glorious sign.
Across the street is the old Truxton Station.
Further west we explore the Hackberry General Store and do a walk-thru inside.
Finally we get to Kingman and then we're on to Oatman.

Great stop in Peach Springs, AZ! In '05 I did a Elderhostel hiking trip here with Sue & Dave Smith next to the Colorado River! Stayed in motel on west end of town for a week, a fun adventure. Interesting AZ scenery, with Berts country dancing sign, the Hackberry General Store, overloaded with curios, and the drive to Kingman. Another fun drive!!!

A lot of these roadside gas station joints on Route 66 need to be restored, not just this one. But the problem is we can't save them all due to its deteriorating conditions.

The problem is the Interstate passed these town by and there's no money@@LINJ638 I think you should donate some money and help them get these historic places restored back to their former glory.

Loved the Hackberry stop...so many stickers that you couldn't see the cold drinks behind the doors! LOL

I loved Arizona on our Route 66 trip, especially Hackberry and Oatman! I saw Giganticus Headicus in Kingman, Arizona as you drove past. Looking forward to your Oatman adventures! Godspeed Jeff.

New subscriber here. I have been enjoying your videos. My wife and i make videos exploring around Texas. We made our first trip to route 66 last weekend after watching some of your videos. The history along the Route 66 is amazing. Shamrock Texas was our favorite of the weekend. We hope to drive the whole route someday.

I took a picture of that shell gas station too in Peach Springs. I remeber going in to the Walapai Market across the street. I dont know why I remember this but the Market was better then expected and the bathrooms were spotless. Also there was a dog behind the store that looked mean but was really friendly. I also remember having some nice conversations with me and my son with some local Native American dudes. Thank Jeff. It wasnt far after that there was an old motel with a bunch of Datsun 240z parked around it. They must have been gone or you would have seen it.

Saw some very familiar sights that you drove by Jeff. A favorite memory of our recent Route 66 road trip was staying at that Kingman Motel. Before bed my sister and I walked the streets and saw that closed Route 66 Motel too. Up close and personal....at night! The spookiest image I took was of the Lo Chinese Restaurant you noted. It did have a pretty damn cool Marquee tho!
