Lmaooo that shit was insane, also the cost of armies were just ridiculous. You couldn’t even attack people unless they had 300-350k+ if you wanted to gain and not lose any loot 😂like I saw an old vid and just one rage spell costed 27k.. So just 4 rage and a freeze would be 130k just for fuckin spells lmao

I remember the best loot strat was to get a bunch of Barb, Archers, and Goblins and a few Giants to simply find old base with filled mine and collectors. Just aim for 50% and get like 70% of the loot and dip.

@everlastingsunset4267 shoot these days I'll just load up my base with archers or goblins and find bases with good loot outside tbe walls take it and then leave. Bad for the trophies but I don't really care about that

I’m sure this is something nobody remembers. When I completed the og tutorial on my second account back in the day I noticed you didn’t need to deploy all the wizards to beat the goblin base. So I was able to not use like 3 or 4 of them and it actually let me keep them! And this is way before you’re suppose to have access to them. So I immediately went to some poor th2 base and mopped the floor with them

That's why I always first zoom so that if I accidentally tap on the screen that will be red zone so the troop can't get deployed....but now they have corrected it

The Wallbreakers have improved to target walls that are actually protecting the base. But have you noticed that the Bombers in the Builder Base are as dumb as old Wallbreakers

There were 4 barracks and 2 dark barracks last year (Around Oct 2021)...but now (October 2022) only 1 dark barrack and normal barrack to train troops....U need to upgrade all barracks to reduce timer to train max available troop....now time is fixed.. . . . Training troops and spells no longer requires elixir and dark elixir as a cost...They only need enough campfire space...

I remember when you got 5 wizards from the Ivory tower instead of 3 to help with the first Goblin map. I also remember when you needed a at least 2 Wizards to beat the first Goblin map because 1 wizard would destroy the cannon but die in the process. I also remember when the loot cart would just randomly spawn somewhere in your village after you were attacked

I remember when the air defenses were different in looks. Town Hall 10 was the max. Walls only were upgraded with gold. You had to train troops on barracks individually. The TH had only 1k of elixir and gold. So everyone would leave their TH outside the base, and most people would attack the TH, take the win, and leave. When you could damage storages with lightning spells. The builder base wasn't a thing. There's a lot I miss and don't miss.

Honestly the best change was the troop training not costing anything. You can experiment without having to worry about spending 300k+ and losing loot. You can use whatever army you want just to have fun attacking and not worry about all the elixir/dark elixir you’re losing.

I remember (before the heroes got 3d animations) when you would upgrade your hero a piece of their armor would change from silver to gold.

The times king and queen, when first triggered by your troops, could be lured to the corner of the map and killed by the famous cc composition 212 (2 barbs, 1 wizard, 2 witches). Then you proceed to hog the rest of the base.

I remember when you would keep whatever troops survived the attack, so if you done an attack of 10 dragons and you 3 star with let’s say 4 dragons left they would appear back at your army camp

I remember when people would use the border of the map as walls and you weren’t able to place your troops next to the border because everything was to close so you had to start from the middle of the map and work through there base. Haven’t seen anybody mention that one yet.

The time when I joined, lvl 10-11 walls had blue highlights, Pekka was the last troop, champions was the highest league (I think, I might be wrong), barracks training was separate, you had to re-arm stuff, and global chat was my home. Good days, maybe?

Ikr. Good ol days, when you didn't have to worry about anything and you would play games all day long. Now? Depression is surreal and if you lose you lose, there is no turning back.... When I get married I will make sure my kids have the best time ever, as I now know what it is like to have a nice childhood........😢

I remember having to rearm every single trap individually and it was such a relief when they released the rearm all traps at once button. When farming though i used to not rearm the expensive traps as they would cost quite a bit

I remember when you had to re arm every ta trap individually. I remember being so stoked when they gave the "arm all" button when clicking on town hall or the cc (can't remember which it was) it was such a pain to hunt down the spring boards and then the giant bombs especially if you just redid your base. I also remember times when you didn't have three gold out elixer to re arm stuff, which really sucked.

1 nice update was clan castle inactive troops, I remember when we had clan wars, so when you requested troops for clan castle, you had to attack that instance, because if you would log out , and someone would attack you, your troops would vanish from you clan castle only if the attacked lured them out.

Rearming traps?? You forgot about before that even, you had to literally REBUY THEM FROM THE SHOP and place them again. It was SO tedious. Just having to rearm felt like a blessing when that was introduced. Why does no one ever talk about this

ure funny xD subbed and nice vid havoc XD, i remember playing weeks after Clash of Clan's release date in 2012, before there were any heros/dark elixir etc.. I've quit back then because I was upset that our troops are lost, EVEN IF THEY SURVIVED the attack! (Used to play too much travian back then), and i remember training troops was a big deal so I didn't like that my troops just "vanished" after the attack as it isnt efficient.. ended up uninstalling because of that single reason back then xD ( i play non stop now dw )

About the old farming style: remember when Town Halls never had loot storage? That's also part of the reason OG farming methods stopped aside from the 30% damage for shield

Same... i came back about 3 months ago and finally upgraded to th10 and am almost done maxing it.... and i spend a good 2 years getting to th9. Progress has been majorly streamlined and it feels so much more enjoyable now. Plus spells, troops and heroes are available every 15-30min so you can actually attack more than twice a day.

Back in the days you could only attack when your shield was about to end, because an attack took the shield away completely. If you wanted a serious army, it would cost ~200.000 elixir and take hours to train. So you could only attack once, because while waiting for the new army to get trained you would get attacked again and the shield was more valuable than attacking. Because even if you found a base with 500k loot, you spent 200k elixir on troops and a shield for 16 hrs gave you around 500k of both as well. Attacking actually wasn't worth it most of the time. Only when the shield was about to end

gowiwi is still my favorite war army for bases with single infernos, with the addition of ice golems and bowlers. old th10 maxed walls (electric) didn't the heroes need like 3hrs to regenerate in 2014 or so? lavaloonion -> edragon

*in old man voice* back in my day, if you wanted to go to war against a specific clan, there was no friendly war option. We had to calculate base weights by hand and select the rosters accordingly. Then we pressed Start War at the same time and prayed.

Yeah looting Dark elixir in th 7 was almost impossible because you had absolutely no dark elixir drills so you could only get DE on storages and nobody had any. You had no war bonus and no star bonus and no season bank thing. Also there was no loot on your town hall or on your clan castle so it was only on the storage and it was ALWAYS the best defended building.

I remember when you lost your troops when your camps were destroyed. You would either have to stay on the entire training time, or train them while the shield was up and get back on before you lose the shield. (Or just hope and pray nobody attacked you while you were offline 😂😂😂)

Also i remember when training a gowipe attack cost so much and took like 2 hours to train up. Especially if one of your dark barracks was down for upgrade. Out would double the time to train...assuming you had the golems unlocked in the barrack left open. Made the mistake of upgrading both dark barracks at roughly the same time and couldn't get any golems. And if someone got attacked before they could use you're donated troops, spend all day getting everyone golems and wait on my war attacks forever lol
