I can go along with most of this list. I like the Dalton films as well and would rate "Living daylights" even higher. But I'm not the biggest fan of "Skyfall" and would put "Goldfinger", which in my eyes is "the" classic Bond film, much higher in the list. And my disappointment with "Die another day" is still too fresh that it ranks rather closer to the bottom in my esteem. But well, everybody has his own history with Bond. That's part of the fun with it.

What a pleasant surprise to see LTK at number 1. I have it at 6 on my list, but I need to watch the films again as when I looked at the list today films higher or lower then they should have been. Dalton is my favourite Bond and I love The Living Daylights. One of the Bond sites does not rate Licence to Kill as it is too Miami Vice. The show was wonderful and I am happy with the comparison.

Rip Sean Connery and Roger Moore crazy to think two of the best Bond actors are gone now and George Lazenby is the oldest surviving Bond actor. I grew up on Pierce Brosnan when was a young 9 year old kid when he debuted in 1995 with Goldeneye and was in college when Daniel Craig debuted in 2006 with Casino Royale which is one of my favorite Bond films next to Goldeneye.

Intelligently articulated sir. I wouldn't call Licence to Kill charming by any stretch! Of course, there are a few charming moments care of Felix and Della's relationship with Bond; and there are charming scenes involving each of the two Bond girls, not central to the gritty narrative. But the premise is extremely charmless. You admit your no. 1 is based on preference not on merit - I wonder whether you should now try a ranking based on objective criteria for comparison

My favorite was always a really good Timothy dalton film--- but I do enjoy Sean Connery as an actor--- pierce brosnan is also a great actor--- I'm a Timothy dalton Bond fan---- "the living daylights" is my favorite film.......

I remember having to sneak out of the theater after watching Moonraker, not wanting people to know that I actually spent money seeing it.

I like Spectre and therefore disagree with the beginning of your list ... and I would put "Tomorrow never dies" and "Die another day" right next to Diamonds are Forever as the worst Bond movies.Skyfall IMO is overrated and not in my Top 10.

Dalton is my fave Bond. Indeed, 'The Living Daylights' topped my list for years. 'Licence to Kill' at #1 is an interesting choice, to say the least. I like the film more than many, and there is a growing re-evaluation/admiration of it online over the last few years. Fascinatingly, I've thought of it as being a bit overrated now, as a result. I've just always found TLD to be closer to Fleming's character with some nods to the filmic Bond. Though, LTK does have more direct references to Fleming's novels. If only we'd gotten his third film, whether that be Bond 17 or his version of GoldenEye, I think we would've found the happy medium between TLD and LTK for which Dalton was hoping. from russia with love is the perfect SPY film. No phony special effects, just pure realism. great plot and sean connery a real "no nonsense" SPY. film is the closest to fleming's book.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Agreed Soectre is the dullest. Still not bad, and Bonds always get better with time so...

I'm glad to see someone else has Goldfinger outside their top 10, too. While it was the first to get the formula right, and is still a good and enjoyable film, it does have its problems, especially nearly 60 years later, and there are better films in the series, in my opinion.
