With Waheguru Ji’s blessings, the Australian Sikh Association (ASA) celebrated one of the most sacred days in the Sikh Calendar, Khalsa Sajna Divas also known as Vaisakhi. On this day in 1699, our tenth master, Guru Gobind Singh Ji ordained his followers with five chosen ones (Panj Piyaras), inducting them with sacred Amrit and in-turn obtained Amrit from them to create Khalsa, an exclusive spiritual and fearless kingdom.
To celebrate the Vaisakhi, many dignitaries from the wide spectrum of political parties of Local, State and Federal Governments attended the special function at Glenwood Gurudwara Sahib today and celebrated the auspicious occasion with the Sikh community. We thank our Sikh Sangat for attending today’s special function and be part of the celebration. We look forward to serving you with the same enthusiasm with more such events in the coming months. Please stay tuned and provide your valuable support and suggestions.
