True. Every other main character's dad is missing in the franchise with very few justifications (X and Y implied your father had an unfortunate... Rhyhorn-related accident, and the protagonist of XD Gale of Darkness (Michael) is flat-out said to have his father dead). Heck, the only times you actually see the male parents in the Pokemon world of either the player or their rivals, it's in kind of a negative light (the RSE/ORAS games' Norman, as seen here, is a workaholic at best, and his marriage to his wife is teetering; Palmer is hardly in Barry's life since he lives on an island off the northeast mainland of Sinnoh compared to his southwest mainland locked son and they both have a nasty habit of impatience and bumping into people; Bianca's dad is first seen yelling at her and interrupts the journey about halfway to drag Bianca home, but he does have a good point about Pokemon journeys being potentially dangerous; and the less said about N and Ghetis' relationship, the better). You really have to wonder if Nintendo and Game Freak have something to say about fathers in these games.

It’s so hilarious that the entire story of this series is that Brendan had to get four gym badges just to tell his dad that his mom wanted a divorce. Truly one of the best Pokémon fan series.

I love all the little details you put in your animations, going back after a couple years and really looking in makes me really appreciate all the hard work you do, from having brendan take of his shoes in norman's gym, to having a piko reference in the first part and the flash of creepypasta wally, all of this is pretty cool, and a lot of it is only in like 3 or 4 frames or even 1, so thank you for making your videos interesting

To anyone wondering why brendan has white hair, or wondering why he wears a hat, It's revealed in the manga that he wears it to hide a scar he got when he was defending a little girl from a salamence. Both of those evil teams' plans are retarded. Magma's would cause dehydration as already mentioned; Aqua on the other hand is trying to benefit pokemon by expanding the sea mass, but a large amount of pokemon live on land as well as humans themselves, therefore they are likely killing themselves.

I mean fighting norman, espcially if you do a rush mode, where you try to beat the game as fast as possible with very little grinding, torchic is good because you get that awesome fighting chicken machine! plus it can access bulk up+ protect combo! and the special event torchic, it will have speed boost! which is really good by the way! water starter kinda dislike because when it evolves, it will have 4x grass... secptile is good but I really perfer torchic!

He more realized he was avoiding dealing with his father, and decided to stop putting it off. Love Gex-sceptile's quick line about it... Even though he and Gloverfield are kind of psychopaths, he does care about Brendan 😅

What I think is that Brendan was using affection as a way to hold off or avoid confronting his father. As Gex’s line proves “This is really about your father isn’t it?” Brendan realizes he can’t keep running from his father and decides to confront him. You could be correct too but I still hope May and Brendan can at least try.
