You should incorporate your zapper into the omnibot and have it go around and zap whatever it runs into!

The Remote came in 3 Frequencies: 49.860 Mhz (US), 27.145 Mhz (Europe), 40.680 Mhz (TAL) The tones are 1400 to 2800 HZ in 200hz increments (1400, 1600, 1800, etc...) and a single outlier at 4600Hz. 9 tones in total. The tones are TTL level square waves. The OmniBot will respond to the tone for the duration of the tone.

For a second there I thought you would play that silly 5tone sequence from Close Encounters😂😂😂😂

Nothing silly about it, fantastic movie by a directing legend but yeah I thought so too :)

You should offer the sender and receiver together as a matched pair...

It didn't sound like DTMF but I wonder if there's something similar going on to detect particular frequencies on the demodulated FM. It seems like accurately detecting particular frequencies would be hard to do on board the microprocessors of the day.

Simple yet effective.

I wonder why they didn't just use DTMF. A readily available decoder chip could be used instead of the MCU. Or can the controller send mutiple tones/commands at once?
