What if you connect a coil between the antenna and the switch and switch it via a transistor at the resonant frequency of the coil? I think this should increase the output even more. Very interesting topic!

To power the switch, you could copy a watch. Use a piezoelectric power source, operating at high hertz, to very quickly open and close the switch. Perhaps that’s a trick

Note to all: For any long term use in the USA, you should check with your local municipality: If you're in a county area, its more lax but if you're in residential I've seen limits as low as 10 feet from the roof. In non-res, I've seen 60 feet but there may be "registration" and use case requirments so there's that. But this is an AWESOME improvement to the idea.

This actually works, ive tried it with a mosfet connected between the antenna and ground, and a commmon voltage tripler and capacitor of course, the effect increaases greatly with frequency in jumps, some frequency ranges are better thatn others , ive built a new circuit with paralell coupled triplers and one antenna circuit per tripler now, very interesting, ive ordered really fast schottky diodes and a supercap or two, experiments will continue, we are not talking picowatts here any longer per sqm, maybe a10 meter high antenna 1sqm covered with activated carbon to capture more particles will make this even better

A YT video titled "Graphene/Graphite Atmospheric Electricity Collectors - Plus Horrific Hexacopter Crash!" uses graphene as the antenna. I think combining the two, increasing the cross sectional area the magnetic flux passes through and having a rapid self oscillating relay switch is going to be a viable solution for home generation because it works 24/7.

Guys, what we're seeing is the voltage across the capacitor it's not the atmospheric voltage, what we are seeing is the incremental increase in voltage of the cap each times the circuit is switched - this is not the ambient voltage of the atmosphere, this is the resultant voltage of the cap after many cycles. I slowed down the video the Voltage and counted the voltage increments, they averaged about 17 mV per circuit switching. (These figures are rough estimates). It ranged from 169mV (at 4:07) to 941 mV (at 4:31) in total voltage spread. That's about 45 switches in 25 seconds with a total increase of about 772 mV, which is about 0.03088 Volts/second. That means it would take about 9 hours to charge up to a 1000 Volts. Now a 1000 Volts sounds it would make a lot of energy-right? The energy W measured in Joules that is stored in a capacitor is W = 1/2 C V^2 (where C is capacitance). Capacitance for different capacitors is often given in units of microFarads mF or nanoFarads nF (sorry I can't use Greek symbols here), so let's assume a high frequency capacitor of 1000 V and .33 uF W = 1/2 C V^2 = 0.5 * .33 * 10^-6 * 10^6 = 0.164 Joules That's not a lot of energy. So, the working voltage V(w) of this device is about 17 mV, with an energy of about 0.163 Joules, but what we need is the current 'I' to calculate the power P = V(w) * I , so we can figure out the Amp-Hours that could be generated. Perhaps-like me-you saw 941mV and thought 'Wow, that's significant!' , but in reality it's only generating 17 mV. This won't run my desktop computer on 20V, that would require over 1000 of these antennas that to work. Imagine if everyone had a 1000 antennas in their backyard they would block out the sun and more importantly the rotation of the Earth would slow down because we had increased the effective angular momentum of Yorkshire. Now yes, if left to it's own devices this (I'm calling it) "Atmospheric Ram Pump" might charge up your phone battery overnight, and I think this has potential (pun intended) for off grid battery generators like when you're hiking or sailing, but it's clearly not going to compete with a nuclear fusion generator.

Let me say upfront, I have zero background in electronics. However, I’m very interested in this type of science. As you’ve mentioned several times, the amount of ambient electrical energy rises in lockstep with an increase in altitude. With this fact in mind, then I’d like to know why such structures as giant windmills, buildings, and/or radio antennas couldn’t also be installed with this technology to capture & store electricity? Things that make me go, ‘hmmm?’

A power washer does the same thing. open the gun and we get a high burst then it settles down. With an electric circuit we just keep turning the power on and off and these burst accumulate and that accumulation is stored in a capacitor and released into a battery. The battery can then power a motor or light or the accumulated energy can power direct from the capacitor. We also want to accumulate power from both the ground and from the air, so the earth ground, the energy in the air and the pulsed kicks are our ticket to the promise land of free energy. Then there is the task of finding the optium frequency of the kicks and a few other tricks of the trade like frequency harmonics, ect.

The trick with a motor is super simple: get the tiniest, lowest possible power draw motor you can get hold of, even a wind driven motor it you care, and just let it rotate an interrupted commutator, with almost literally zero friction, and there you have potentially a super efficient switching mechanism at any frequency you want, with very close to zero additional 'parasitic' losses on your system.

When I was building high power led drivers back in the day I came across a small pre made circuits that switched the incoming voltage at a very high rate of speed allowing you to vary the drive voltage via switching rather than burning off the extra power as heat. I bet that high frequency switch would really do something here.

I'll have to look at this closer when i have time, but I wonder if the extra energy is from variable capacitance in the switch and the work done in separating the contacts. In some ways like how an electrophorus can charge a capacitor repeatedly, Where Charge Q = voltage × capacitance and lifting a plate reduces the capacitance driving the voltage up but here discharges one way through the diode. If that is the mode of operation. You can just make a huge rotating variable capacitor. To act like an electrophorus, or electrostatic parallel plate voltage multiplier. Or a rotory radial electrostatic flux Lord Kelvin replenisher, or a simplified voss, and a whole host of electrostatic influencer machines. Sorry for the tangent. When I get a chance, I'll take a closer look at how and why this works to be sure.

Maybe a dumb question, but is this like harnessing back emf? When the switch is opened and closed repeatedly a surge in power is induced, I believe they call this flyback voltage, and the capacitor is collecting this. I saw experiments using multiple capacitors in series trying to harness back emf in a motor to make it more efficient. I don't know enough abut this to give an informed opinion so I ask questions.

Now that we have established that there IS usable electricity in the atmosphere, why not use it in conjunction with RADIO Frequency Energy Harvesting at the same time? Like for example run the atmo motors via capacitors that can charge from the atmosphere as well as make use of Earths natural Resonating Frequency 7.83hertz (Schumann Resonance). A Hybrid Atmo/RF Harvester seems like a good way to get more usable power out. There are a few folks exploring the viability of harvesting Radio Frequency for battery free wearable devices and even things like motorized wheelchairs. What do you think?

Highly recommend looking into vacuum tubes from crystal radios. For switching purposes, it’s much more robust that can withstand high voltages with greater coefficient on frequency and amplitude when electric potential are being applied between the electrodes comparing to modern silicon transistors. Plus crystal radio antenna design like the spider web shape for example or miniaturised antenna from meta materials will greatly reduce the occupying space needed instead of sticking 100m wire above your roof . For anyone fascinated and wants go deeper into this subject. Research Thomas Henry Moray or the Moray valve. Where he used a non heated vacuum tube as a powerful switching mechanism to achieve greater output result.

With the cap (what value?) approaching 1VDC, and as you said, picoamps electrostatic source, the DMM is a non-trivial load, already. The voltage drop across a signal diode is .3 volts but MOSFETs or something along those lines can be set up to have no voltage drop or miniscule. Of course in this example the energy is tiny . The switching further requires an expenditure of energy .

Use this as your Rotor in your corona/electrostatic motor and charge your ultra capacitors from the output feed loops. the rotation of the rotor will act as your switch every time the gap in the resonant chamber passes the antennae...

You'll never catch electricity while them grounded thunder wires are sticking around and the energy carrier towers too they're all grounded. You need to try far away in the open fields with a good deep grounding, and then you need a joule thief and a solid transmitting antenna with insulated bottom has to be pointy shape. Remember it works also as capacitor, electricity jumps from ground to atmosphere. Maybe oscillator needed too on high frequency. Then you need a harvester antenna and some way to oscillate and store it. Because it's actually a DC pulse but you need to convert it to AC to make it work. Try not to ground the harvester antenna.

You should use the wind/grass blade you made to do the switching

Good idea here OR you could use Radio Frequency energy such as Schumann Resonance to power the switch,

Going to have to turn the sand wheel from your previous video into a switching device.

There is a tremendous and highly marginalized community digging up information on so-called Old World architecture, the domes and the use of mercury. for high-ish altutide induction technology. There is good reason to believe the electrostatic charge was significantly higher in the 1700s

I have perfected the switching mechanism long time ago, I just can't afford the AERIAL yet.

Very cool but I wished that you showed us the current as well as the voltage. If the current is still in the picoamp range then you don't have much of an increase to charge a super capacitor. Would take some time.
