Rachel, thanks so much for this diy! You mentioned if you had oily hair not to use the rose oil. I have very long hair almost to my knees, and oily hair. I oil my hair for 24 hours before washing once a week. I use grape seed oil, coconut oil, or almond oil. I use extracts just for the smell. Oiling long hair keeps the ends very nice and it helps in hair loss due to the combing and all the hair bands I use. I wish I had a freeze dryer or a steam juicer but I think I can do this by just the infusion method with fresh roses. I do have an abundance of roses in my landscape. Love you and all your videos. ❤

I love the idea of a homemade rose oil! I’m a manicurist and I make all my own cuticle oils using jojoba oil and essential oils. Just fyi, jojoba oil is the closest to what our body makes naturally so if someone finds coconut oil or olive oil too heavy, definitely try jojoba.

The beautiful smile at the end shows that you are a wild rose too :) I love the smell of flowers, roses in particular. Just can't resist smelling them when walking past some roses. You can also use rosehip flowers (if you don't need the fruits), they smell and feel like roses too and in some places they grow like weeds ;)

I grew up with rose flavored Turkish Delight and still love it! It is a jello square similar to Aplets and Cotlets. The boxes came with white and pink squares dusted with powdered sugar (the white squares were lemon flavored) and the pink ones rose flavored candies. May be fun to try.

I can't even imagine how great your kitchen smelled when you made that!!! I've seen recipes for citrus salads that have rose water in the dressing. I would love to make some for that purpose. Then again, I love the 1000 roses shampoo and conditioner and daily shad cream from Andalou so I would love it in my skin routine also.

I think grinding and putting them in soap is a great idea. The store bought powdered rose petals I’ve bought turn black in cold process soap so I’m very interested how those freeze dried ones work. How did it work out making the cowboy candy with chopping instead of slicing the jalapeños? Did it turn out like you expected? I made my first batch this year but haven’t opened a jar yet. I put cucumber slices in the leftover syrup and they are off the chart delicious! Next batch I plan to chop the jalapeños for relish type is why I’d like to know are you happy with how that turned out. Blessings from Pensacola

I like to purchase bulk dried roses that are edible (made for tea) online. It works great and you don’t have to worry about the quality. It’s not terribly expensive Do be careful if you pick roses though that you’re not using ones sprayed w pesticides ect. There’s no real way to wash it off effectively because steaming them or infusing them will pull all of the essence out into the liquid good and bad

Almost no one will tell you this...if you take 1/8 tsp of coconut oil and spread through your hair, it will grow about two feet in four years! My best friend started using it on her hair and skin in 2019. Her hair is almost to the back of her knees from just below her shoulders. She stopped using hair products like mousse and gel. She stopped using lotions and moisturizers, too. She literally washes her hands and scoops out an 1/8 tsp and uses it instead.

@lylymongeon

That math is just natural hair growth without any remedy/supplement. 2 feet in 4 years is 1 foot in 2 years, 6 inches in 1 year, 1/2 inch per month. If you do NOTHING, it will grow this much.
