It seems to have a watermark for the National Film Board. Is there a way to see this without the watermark?

You get a slight feel of this City but to grow up there I have skied the hills at Camp Fortune and the ability to move so close to the Parliament Buildings is a shear joy and reminder of Canada's freedom.

You can get close because Canada is a US vassal state and they could care less about who is the Assistant VP, Canada.

This film must be older than 1920. Construction of the Peace Tower began around 1918, and it wasn't in this film. I'm guessing that was the original Centre Block, before the fire.

The cars they are diving are from the 20s, weird

The original Centre Block burned down in 1916. The Peace tower was topped out in 1922. They seem to have slipped in one picture of the old Centre Block in the video.

This date is wrong. It shows the original Centre block which burned down in February, 1916 and was replaced by the current centre block. So this video being summer would be 1915 at the very latest. www.rcinet.ca/en/2014/02/03/feb-03-1916-when-canadas-parliament-burned/

Michael Kostiuk it is 1920. The letter towards the opening is dated July 1920. They must have just used an old image of the center block.

In the summer of 1920, the new centre block was not pretty. There was a gaping hole in the front where work on the new tower was about to begin. Presumably for that reason, a still photo of the old building was substituted for film of the new one.

I say Olde Ottawa is far better than new Ottawa. People of the past had class and style.

I'm surprised at how long the Experimental Farm has maintained its name and purpose. I feel like the parks and gardens aren't quite what they used to be.
