This 1920s inspired vintage hairstyle for midi and long hair is a tribute to my favourite Downton Abbey heroines - Lady Edith and Anna. It works without heat to keep your hair healthy, using pin curls overnight!
For preparation, wash your hair and curl the slightly wet strands. If you like, you can also use some hair foam before curling. Using a scarf makes the curls last better.
The next day, smoothly roll the strands one by one to towards your head. For some final details, how about vintage jewellery such as pearl earrings?

They didn't do this, nor did they need a maid (exceptionally few employed "the servant class" by the 20s). Women had short hair and/or perms, and after washing their hair, hair pushed the hair in long sections up towards the top of the head and pinned it back and let dry. The style lasted for many days. It's taken a century for us to forget all of the shortcuts and hacks they took to doing their hair, but women didn't spend a long time on their hair.

I think the people that complain about the time this takes forget. Women didn't have cellphones back then. They were more willing to invest time in their self care, instead of scrolling Instagram and FB all night, they would prep their hair before bed/do skincare routine. This really doesn't take all that long to do, if you take away phone scrolling time at night to do this, then your hair is half done already for the morning, just take out the curls and prep. 🤷‍♀️

Ich liebe deine Haare und bin so dankbar für deine Tutorials. Ich hab wirklich zwei linke Hände was frisieren angeht und meine Haare sind schlimmer als Stroh.. Ich finds richtig cool, dass du die pin curls machst, obwohl duch eh scvon locken hast, weil meine Haare ziemlich ähnlich sind und die tutorials für glatte Haare bei mir irgendwie nicht funktionieren 😭. Also ganz vielen Danke für das super Tutorial!!
