The housewife dreams of a more leisurely time - images of reading a book, going for a walk, taking a rest, shopping for pleasure (the employment bar would have prevented a married woman working). Shots of labour saving devices available to the male office worker - telegraph, telephone, typewriter, vehicles for commuting.
