You could be right as I am not an expert. I was on a lighter collectors message board when I made this video and someone showed a Ronson lighter from the 1930s that had a patent number on it dated 1933, and another that had a 1928 patent number on it. The patent years marked on them doesn't mean it was made in that exact year though as sometimes they were made for a decade or two after the patent was made. It is hard to date these unless you really are a big collector of these. I'm definitely not good at dating these.

I forgot to mention, mine had to have been made before 1950 because the introduction of filters on cigarettes were in the 1950s. Before 1950, only 0.6 percent of cigarettes were filtered. My lighter/case does not hold filtered cigarettes. It is hard to know anything about these lighters unless you are a major collector. I've on had two of these in all my 25+ years collecting antiques so I am not experienced enough to know much about them.

Thanks! I definitely am not going to use it. I was already a burn survivor and spent a month in the burn unit and almost died. I don't need any more accidents. I will just keep it as a display piece.

Lol. Take two Excedrin. It works, but it may cause liver damage. My mother took too many from the migraines I caused her and got jaundice and died shortly after. True story. I keep two Excedrins next to her ashes so she has them in the afterlife. My best advice is to hit the back button and watch someone else who is less annoying 😂🤣
