What a kick...I'm 77 years old and my first car when I was 17 was my aunts 39 Studebaker Commander that she bought new...flathead six lost a bearing on the way home from gas leaking into the crankcase from a hole in the fuel pump. Bearings are poured and the two rods I scored at a junkyard were undersized..motor would not turn over...added shims and knocked like crazy...used old rings and carried a gallon of cheap oil in the back seat. My first "Hot Rod"

People on here having a dig at chads workmanship, all i can say is that i wish i had his energy and dedication. By the way, he's never claimed to be another chip foose or boyd coddington, he works to a budget with what he has available. Good luck to the man

I worked in high end body shops fixing expensive wrecked European luxury and sports cars. There is a right way to build a car and there is Chad's way. Chad's way, in the shops I worked in, would get him fired before lunch on his first day. The job recommendation coming from that would black ball him all over the area. There is it looks good and it is built right, and you have it looks good but it's built all wrong done Chad's way. Take rear windows for example. You find a roof section with a real glass windows and you cut, section, pie cut, make panels and fit every thing just right, inside bracing and outside. Plastic windows say you did it crappy. Fiberglass puddy covered with bondo, and then multiple primer coats of polyester primer and primer sealer is really bad. Yes it can look good, but it was built all wrong. Clearly you guys fawning over the hack work have never worked in a "real" body shop and you can't tell good work quality from really bad quality work. If you want to see what quality work looks like go watch Fitzee or Slyvester. See how they fit each piece just so making very little filler required. That is quality work, real craftsmanship.
