Tanx for taking us on your adventure, that was fun. If you don't like the weather in this area just move 5 miles.

Great video! Love seeing old Henery steel running through the snow. You should get one of the track and ski packages and really have some fun! Go Seattle Speed Shop, keep moving forward!

Well.........................that was fun! Good demonstration that the old rigs weren't helpless in the foul weather with a capable driver. Snow is ultra rare here in Central Texas............and I'm glad for it. I've had enough decades dealing with that crap. Enjoy!

While stationed at Fort Hood, they closed the whole post down for three days because of a skim of snow.... They said they didn't want the locals to kill the guys living off post while going to work. Said they don't know how to drive in snow.
@rodderbob6 ай бұрын
@@godsowndrunk1118 still true. There is no road cleaning/clearing equipment around here for snow or ice since it would be so rarely used. The folks who grew up here are clueless about driving on either ice or snow.

Never thought about low power being a perk but it makes sense. Maybe one day I’ll daily an A truck myself

I love it! I wish more people would make videos like this instead of nice sunny day driving. People forget what the model A was built for.

In my hometown of Sunapee, NH, Trow Hill Road drops down steeply to a T intersection with Route 11. On a snowy day it was quite a ride (as slow as you could go) to get to the bottom without plunging straight into the forest. Left or Right, there is no try. -- Yoda

I always like how, in cold weather, you get free synchromesh for the first few shifts.

This one actually has a v8 trans so it is synchromesh!

Seattle huh? I won't tell. But you ought to go the Longhorn or down the street to the Old "E" Inn for a beer and some lunch... I recommend the Cajun stew at the Longhorn.... good stuff.
@Seattle_Speed_Shop6 ай бұрын
To be fair...we started in Seattle...and if we said Skagit...no one but locals would know what we're talking about. Haha. We eat at the Longhorn on most Sundays. I've been meaning to try the stew for a while now. Maybe next time!

@@Seattle_Speed_Shop. I get it about saying Seattle.... I've learned while traveling to just say Seattle instead of Sedro Woolley.... everybody at least has some idea where Seattle is...then if you say Washington, you have to explain that you don't mean DC.

I concerned the engine doesn't make enough vacuum to work the wiper. I guess we'll find out!

I liked it! The purists are probably screaming about taking that Model A out in that kind of weather........but think how many millions of miles that Model As were driven in that kind of weather!
@Seattle_Speed_Shop6 ай бұрын
They probably don't like that it sat outside for 8 out of the last 10 years either...but until they drive theirs more than I drive mine. I don't really care.

Reminds me of a winter vacation this Pennsylvania railfan had in Hood River back in 2010. Wanted to buy Mother a gift from Government Camp my last evening. Late afternoon it started to rain along the Columbia so I started up the mountain with my Cobalt rental. Soon it was snowing, a snowplow truck led the oncoming traffic? As I climbed I was driving in the path he had made as the snow deepened. Got to the top safely but all was closed. Dilemma..... How can I get down? It took me a lot longer to go down than coming up! Can you get an accessory electric wiper and hot air heater tube. Temporary of course for winter usage. Thanks
@Seattle_Speed_Shop6 ай бұрын
I could. Not sure they make 6 volt ones? Original was vacuum. I may just do a mechanical wiper.

Very cool pickup , but it hurts to see you driving it on those slushy roads . I hope they aren't salted 🤔
@Seattle_Speed_Shop4 ай бұрын
No salt. But she sits outside A LOT. It's just an old truck. I'll fix it if it needs rust repair.
