Congratulations on finding your grandpas tractor. We have my father in laws John Deere 3020. It never left the farm but it was the only one we kept when he retired. Family tractors are special for sure
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
That's pretty awesome! It's great that I was able to find this tractor after 20 years of looking. Couldn't have been done without some help.

Holy smokes! Way to go Kenny!

I had to keep it a secret... Mostly because even I didn't believe it was happening!

Way to go, Kenny! You never gave up on finding your grandpa's M and now it is back where it belongs. I agree, a full restoration is what it needs to match the Case SC and the Memorial Farmall H. Sure, it's going to take a lot of work, but I can't think of anyone else who would do a better job bringing that one back to life. Congratulations! 🚜 👍

Congrats on finding your grandpas M, me and dad found and just brought home my great grandpas 1965 international 806 standard, so we now have every tractor he bought new, unfortunately it was used as a parts tractor but we have all the parts to put it back together
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
That's awesome! Sounds like you've got some work cut out for you, but, it will be worth it when done. Sure helps to have parts when you need them!

Appears to be in good shape. Evidently the clutch needs adjustment. Thank you Kenny.
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
The clutch is adjusted to the max. I think the pressure plate and clutch disc need replacement. The disc is probably riding on the rivets, which may, in turn, need the flywheel to be resurfaced.

Now this is EXCITING news! I'm SOOO happy for you. I gotta say, it's ALOT easier to see the 47' leave, when you know you've finally got your hands on THE one you always wanted from the beginning! Bravo Dude👍

Great story! I am all for family heirlooms being kept in the family! Did you notice the rain flap in the video hauling the '47 trade, standing wide open as you're going down the road,, this is why you have them turned at 8:30 clock position so that it points off to the side of the tractor and a little bit rearward so you don't have that issue,, Also noticed on Grandpa's tractor you hauled home,, the raincap point to that 12 o'clock as well, not a good idea even though it may never see a trailer, you want to have the exhaust blown away from the operator off to the side,,, of course
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
I prefer the rain caps pointed to the front. Just personal preference.
@1lilfarmАй бұрын
Very cool!!! Wish I didn't live so far away, I could give you some parts off of my '45 M for it. Great find. It took me 30 years to find and get home, my Grandfather's truck so I know the feeling. 👍👍👍
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
Oh man, that would be great! That's ok. I am sure I will be able to find the parts I need pretty easily and for fairly inexpensive. M's are a dime a dozen, so parts are still fairly inexpensive for them.

First, lol had to do it. Glad you found grandpa's tractor. I know the feeling from when I took ownership of the last two cylinder that my grandpa bought.

That's pretty awesome! This one will be in the lineup for teardown, but the 1927 D will be finished first.

I think Panning Brothers in Gibbon still has several parts M tractors laying around. I think they are trying to retire from salvage.

Good to know!! I know Connor has a few things that I can use on his parts M, so, that will help.

The loader on dad's old Case DC had more welds than yours! But don't blame ya on scrappin' that one.
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
It's just too far gone, and when I have the exact same one already that is in much better shape, it isn't worth trying to save this one.
@raymondbuterbaugh3117Ай бұрын
Save some good parts. Off the loader for extras. And the same level. Rosto as the Case.
@DrRustАй бұрын
Check your engine serial number because it looks like it’s got a fuel pump boss it might be a power unit block or a warranty motor
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
I noticed the same thing when I picked it up. I know that the engine was not replaced by my grandpa, my uncle, or any of the owners afterwards.. So it would have been done in the past by someone else. Once I get the hood off and the grease removed, I will check it over.
@gearmelugin3424Ай бұрын
you probly rode it with grandpa when you were little back then, hope he kept the gears in good shape too
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
I don't know if I rode this one with grandpa. I only remember ever driving the Case SC with my Dad.
@ronzezulka6646Ай бұрын
Yeah,,you gotta restore it.
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanchАй бұрын
That's kind of how I feel.. Although the moss growing on it kind of adds character. Ha ha!

True,,,personally, I like what Squatch does also. Full on restoration, but still uses it.
