Watch as Michelle does a natural, 1940's homefront/military makeup tutorial!
**Both Trudy and I were tested for Covid right before we shot this video, which is why we both felt comfortable shooting this without masks or PPE. All brushes and makeup were thoroughly sanitized.**

This is such a great video! The red lips and subtle eyes are so wearable today. I have continued to wear red lipstick (even when wearing a face mask) as it makes me feel good. Thanks so much and greetings from London! X

I remember my grandmother used vaseline as lipgloss, interesting video, I loved learning all the little tidbits about the history of the makeup!

Looks very pretty! Natural, but a pop of glam with the red lip. I always enjoy the history behind the makeup, it seems to reflect the times. Very interesting about Hitler! I'm 61, but have oily skin, so prefer powder foundations.

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! I've had a lot of requests for how to do Trudy's hair! She did it herself and she told me she just sort of threw it together, so I'll have to figure out how she did it!

Trudy’s hairstyle? She really just created it herself and there’s no name for it as afar as I know. There’s been a lot of requests for a tutorial though, so maybe one in the future!

Do you have any top tips on face powder shades?

I don't really have any advice on face powder shades as I pretty much always use Translucent. I don't personally like to use anything too tinted. I always think just matching your skin is the best way to go when using a tinted powder.

If you wanted to do a little natural contour that would be totally fine; I was just trying to stick to what the average woman would have been doing at the time.
