My uncle Richard bought a 42 back in the 1980s from my grandparents neighbors in Missoula MT. He drove my Mother and her Sister around to the car wash and then over to the Moose Lodge. They wound up 3 sheets to the wind driving that truck all over town. He brought the truck back to Ca. and worked on it for 3 years. It was absolutely beautiful red over black and chromed to the hills.. He said it took him three years because the chrome strips on the grill took 3 years to locate them all.. My mother is gone now but I still recall the smile and laugh she had when they all talked about that day driving the old Dodge around town. Thanks for the throwback it made me smile!
sad face. poor baby. poor old girl. thanks for rescuing it man. ur awesome. I am in love with dodge everything.

I love that you're getting these old timers out of the woods and back on the road. I used to look at the "finished" cars and show cars, but love the rats best now. I drive 3 of them. Thanks for your videos!

That top heavy look to the cab is always been my favorite truck. I saw a 41 Chevy, same as the GMC pretty much, here on Craigslist for 700.00 then they took it off and it came back at 1100. It was not in bad shape, Chevy with title. If I had the money and a place to put it, well you know the rest.

That's a nice find, but I wonder how much of the body and frame are salvageable, and how difficult it will be to find replacement body and frame components/fasteners? I'd imagine that you'd need entirely new axles, suspension as well. But that would give you an opportunity to replace the original suspension and axles with much newer stuff from a donor vehicle or parts catalog, to turn it into a great handling street machine.

North Carolina is a haven for old vehicles would love that dodge truck would be real cool with a modern frame and about a 500 horse 440 you sure have a honey hole good for you it’s a good thing for snatch blocks do you not have a regular wrecker even one with a wheel lift only on a one ton them fenders are nice that truck is really pretty good shape it’s not as rough the doors up can make some skins for that it’s a beautiful style I love that old truck the good is the fenders on the back the box looks pretty good along with running boards not that bad I’ve seen you do miracles with worse nice find

we has a 41 and a 47 one was for parts and we used the other one, not sure which was which, we actually also has an old Plymouth pickup, that was the only one I ever saw way back then, it was not runnable. . you might ought to get one of those little cordless chainsaws if you are going to be getting many out of the bursh.

I wish I could find someone to school me on that! I wouldn't know a good one if it hit me up side the head. I think sometimes the editing software reduces quality. It takes 3 hours to upload a 24 minute video, I am just afraid that if the quality is better it will take even longer..
