You should build an outhouse at the mine. Nothing better than crapping on your own land in an outhouse. Just leave plenty of moth balls and other snake / critter deterrents and you'll be fine. You should get fancy and build a 2- holer. With a separating wall for group emergencies. It would make a great video. Be sure to put the toilet paper in an old sealed coffee can to keep the mice away like my grandma. Also leave a can of wasp/ bug spray at the ready. It's an adventure your children will remember.

4:50 Great explanation of how the dipstick works, with the pickup and the crank weights. Many people add a certain amount of oil and mark the stick based on where the level ends up.

I had to replace the dipstick tube on my Dart 318 when it finally broke off in the block. I found a nice aluminum one in the junk bin at my you pullit and I just marked the dipstick to match when it was full. I don't remember if I ever found a original one again but it worked and was free or dirt cheap.

Great vid! I always enjoy your bus vids (and mine vids too). Holding tanks are usually ABS - just like drainage pipe. If your repair doesn't hold up, you can use ABS cement and some ABS pipe shavings, a piece of pipe or a flat sheet of ABS (ACE H/W) to permanently patch it

I saw one that had the engines dropped on from OVER 4 feet HIGH and it barely dented. Straightened it out in a hydraulic press and went back into use...PERFECTLY. They're 4 times as expensive for a REASON.......T'SOB!

I hope you don't breathe the smoke fumes from that tank! Just normal oil, no chunks no water, that's refreshing! That bus seems like it's going pretty good, I hope you don't "park" it there too long. Love everything you’ve done on the bus so far. I wish the roof scoop was more like the shape of the bus lines. I know that sometime you will come across a ductwork 90 that has a soft curve which would look like original equipment. This could still be done the Low-Buck way and you wouldn’t lose any respect. That bus looks so comfortable when it’s tripping. Hope it’s fun to drive.

The new property is the place to go! All that room, and stuff everywhere. It's like heaven! A friend of mine told me that there were NGK knock off spark plugs floating around. I wonder if you got a set of them. Apparently, there are a lot of junk auto parts being made that look the same, are cheap, but do not work. You can't tell by looking at it, what is good and what is junk!

When working on cracked plastic, drill holes at each end of the crack to stop it from advancing. Also, when using the hot staples, apply heat, twist the gun slightly in order to draw the two sides of the crack closer together. Then release the trigger for hardening.

I never put antifreeze in the potable water tanks on RV’s. Since the tanks can never be completely drained it takes forever to flush out the bad taste of the antifreeze. Just drain it and leave the valves open. What little water is left will freeze but it won’t hurt anything. I love that old bus!

Good job finding the mysterious current drain. If you ever have an intermittent one, here is the easy way find it. Hook your battery to a charger/maintainer and hook a small light bulb between the battery and load. Hang the bulb out somewhere where you can see it as you pass by. When the light is on, you can unhook things, one at a time until the light goes back out. That is most likely what is coming on and killing the battery.

Almost certain the pallet jack in front of the Oliver will be rebuilt in a future video. That bus has turned out to be one amazing vehicle for you and family. You are a guy who puzzles me as to the amount of talents you have somehow taught yourself. I found another channel that may entertain your skill sets. I am amazed at how many Canadians are just some of the best in metal fabrication. No link as they may contain a virus so the guys name is Nick and his dad who also a metal master is similar in sound but memories of names are just not in my wheelhouse anymore. That channel name is INNvision Prototypes. Since you enjoy quite a bit of mopar stuff and do fab work.... I think your going to gain some more to those skills your already aware of. I bent and welded different metals in my day of fab and mechanicing so please check this out. Hope the Enino is finally over and our weather will kind of resume some normalcy

I've been using one of those plastic welding guns for a couple months; best way i've found to use them is to let the wire staple melt in about halfway, then give it a little twist before you let off the trigger. That little twist helps imbed the staple actually in plastic with solid not melted plastic on either side. Really seemed to give it more strength. Plus use the "wavy" staple length wise so the wavy staple acts like a stich and you'll have less movement.
