In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 113 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat videos make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great KZfaqrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera
- Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
- I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360 degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment.
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!
Contact Details: If you have any questions or just want to chat you can reach me through all the (non-traditional) typical ways through the following:
Facebook - / classiccarchitchat
Instagram - / classiccarchitchat
Email - Kevin@ClassicCarChitChat.Com
If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.
Thank You
Kevin

For Christmas this year my husband bought me my dream car.... a teal over white 56 Bel Air,!! I have wanted one of these cars since I was 14.... a LOT of years ago....even have it tattooed on my arm right alongside my other love, Mickey Mouse. I love being able to say that I own a 56 Belair! Best cars ever made

Redneckbarbie, (love the name) you are a lucky girl indeed. The BelAir is such an icon and the teal colour combination of yours is gorgeous I’m sure. I would love to film it one day if I’m in your neck of the woods. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. As you may have seen in my videos that my intention is to showcase not only the beautiful car and really give the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.

Darlene, I agree. The 50’s era for the BelAir and also other cars were so elegant and beautifully designed compared to cars nowadays which sadly all look very similar. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for taking the time to watching my videos, leaving a comment and for subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention when creating these videos is to showcase not only the beautiful car but give the owner an opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.

This channel by far is one of my favorites on KZfaq. The way you ask questions and the sheer variety of different cars you show are simply amazing. The Belair I would agree just has everything that a car of that generation should have. A fantastic car and equally fantastic owner who knows his stuff. Thanks for sharing this video as I look forward to next video.

My pa was a Chevy Belair driver and at the dealership where he worked he worked on these cars. He couldn't afford one but from spare parts over the years he built one from the ground up. The color scheme on his was the same as tis one and brought back so many fond memories for me. Thank you for sharing.

As a young kid in the late 50s, I loved the 55s. As a teen, I was all about the 57s. A lot of them were hot rodded at the time and were real goers. I always thought the 56s were a little stodgy looking. Now as an old man myself, I love the 56s. Except for that front bumper. I would love to see a Chip Foose or Dave Kindig get ahold of one and maybe tuck that thing in a little bit. Great car though!

Don, the 3 years of the BelAir created such beautiful cars with some great little modifications that made them recognizable in their own special way. I can only imagine what the Foose team would come up with and rest assured it would be spectacular. Also, I would like to thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos are not to be "how to" videos (I think there are amazing videos made by others far qualified than me) instead my focus is to create a platform where "ordinary" people who love cars get an opportunity to speak about their car and why that car means so much to them. What a beautiful 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop Coupe; There is nothing I would change on this automobile. Out of the tri 5's the 56 was always my personal choice, & also these were the lightest of the tri 5's as far as body weight. I would hardly call this a driver. Thanks Kevin for bringing us this beautiful automobile.
