Wow, wow, wow, very nice work. Love your truck. I have 1956 and have done most of the mods that you shown, I have an LS1 and corvette reared from 1981 vette, and bed tilts, dash is also corvette (1997-2004 style cluster) all gauges work. Your truck is Super nice truck and I love that color too! Thanks for posted it, George.
@bam55sgarage77 Жыл бұрын
Thanks George, The truck is basically finished and I really enjoy driving it. I only have the door and kick panels left to do. I recently started on my 55 210. I built a 6.0 motor for it and I installed a C4 front suspension on the frame. It should be nice. I would love to see your truck post something when you can.

I’ve met bam in person, really good guy and does phenomenal work. We both have been working on our 55’s for years and mine is almost there but I’m jealous of the quality of his build and workmanship. Great job bam

Bam55's Garage hi bam we met at a brothers truck show years ago and you can’t to my storage unit to check out my chassis I built for my 55’ years ago then I took you to my in-laws house in woodcrest (riverside) to check out some other parts I had there. This was probably 7-8 years ago . I will send you pics of my build what’s your number? Last time I saw you, you were telling me about that shooting at work you were involved in

Great job Bam! I love the way you put 55 car dash dash in your truck. I just bought a 55 dually and was surprised to see the truck dash. You have real fabrication skills too. The hood looks awesome!
@bam55sgarage775 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, Yeah one of my favorite mods I've done is the 55 car dash also. By the way I changed the hood. I grafted a 58 hood onto the 55 hood. You can check at this link if you like 67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=440079&page=89

Thanks man I really appreciate the compliments. As far as the hood I did a pie cut of inch out of the front and tapered down the sides to zero at the back. But I did change that also its now has a 58 hood top on a 55 hood bottom. Here is a link to it now 67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=440079&page=89 . I am in the final stages of the build. I have the bed, glass, and of course interior to do. I have been test driving it lately working out the mechanical.m

Hi Bam, to get your fender, hood, and cab lines to all lineup did you cut and weld or bend or hammer or what, or all the above
@bam55sgarage773 жыл бұрын
To get everything to line up to the point where I can live with it. Yes I had to cut, weld, add metal when needed. Its not show car perfect but its pretty good. These trucks are notorious for awful panel alignment.
@nedinge14743 жыл бұрын
how did you get your door gaps so tight?
@bam55sgarage773 жыл бұрын
I fitted the doors the best I could get them and then I added metal.

@bam55sgarage773 жыл бұрын
You are correct my truck is originally a 1958 it came with four headlights but I put a 55 Front End on the truck. So because of the cab its still registered as a 58

Yes its a 58, but its custom. It has a 55 front end and a 58 fleetside bed, but the truck was orginally a 58 with the double headlights.

Why didn't you just buy a rust-free southern truck to start with?

Why? Because I enjoy saving or restoring classic metal that others would walk away from. Also I learn with each build and it test my skills and abilities. So my answer to myself when I see a project like this is why not.
