Love the sound of that four barrel, in high school in the late 70's we would turn our airfilter lids over so it would be louder lol.😁👍

The cars from these days are choked by the technology, heavier, weaker engines, and are disposable. Often times modern cars will have a severely detuned 4cyl with a turbo that's actually there to 1. Sound like you're going fast and 2. Make that strangled 4banger go a normal speed. My old N/A 4banger Volvo brick could outspeed many modern cars. And compared to my Cadillac, that Volvo is slow as molasses. Cars in the 21st century are not what we think of when we talk about cars, they're disposable products meant to be run till the end of the warranty and thrown away for another one. Every mile after the warranty expires you run the risk of one of those systems they made for minimum upkeep catastrophically failing and being impossible/inhumanely expensive to repair, and can only be repaired at the dealership with the proprietary computer carts. If you want a real car, get an old car, chuck everything you hear on reddit about brands & builds & mods in the garbage and spit on everyone who tells you to LS swap. "Modernizing" a classic just means giving it problems it didn't have that 21st century cars are full of. Not even LED lights, its ALL bad.

One way to tell a Fury from a Belvedere is the speedometer. The Fury tops at 150mph. One thing they had right in the movie Christine. The Fury in 1958 only came in sandstone white with gold trim. The movie got that wrong big-time.

I confirm, the only exterior paint for the Fury in 1958 was white (named buckskin beige in 58) with gold anodized trim. But the one in this video is a Belvedere, not a Fury.

Is the instrument panel illumination like that from the factory or has it been enhanced with led illumination? Either way, it looks very impressive and futuristic for a car that's over 70 years old.
@sebastienjunker6907 Жыл бұрын
Hello, very good, the movie Christine is one of the scariest I've ever seen, even today this movie freaks me out, unheard of for the time, and with a real brand of car , there's really enough to cause nightmares, I won't be comfortable if I'm in the car like in the video, you quickly feel frustrated, especially when it's in reality, and this model of car existed well, to scare car collectors, because this one really puts the stress, beautiful to say is a film we feel it really very well.

That's what i thought, then i took a chance and got a '69 Fleetwood and now I'm a collector, daily drive a classic, and will never look back. Don't give up and the more you repeat that negativity the more jt will manifest in a self-fulfilling prophecy of podcar misery. Break the cycle, be free.

I just looked at a '59 Fury this weekend for sale. Unfortunately it needs everything: quarters, floors, rockers and one eyebrow. Too bad '59s are my most disliked year. Even gave it some thought about converting it to a '58.... but.... nah.... I think I'll hold out for a proper 58.

The 150 mph speedo was available for the Fury model only…. The car in the video is a Belvedere …. It’s the reason it cames with the 120 mph speedo head
