You truly are my idol because of these videos. I have all my life been "a bit different". I refuse to learn any songs. I just want to learn to express my feelings through my playing. I have learnt A-minor blues scale, by my ear that contains everything I need. Now I just have to learn to conduct the feelings to the frets. Thanks for beeing an inspiration for this.

Once again Dave plays a guitar worth more than my house (and everything in it) and sounds like, Dave Simpson. Awesome stuff.

Dude your sense of melody is really creative and this built up to such a satisfying crescendo. Your solos are so *interesting* and that’s such an important penchant to develop as an improviser. Love your stuff dude, keep up the good work :)

Awesome playing. Totally blew me away. I'm on my 3rd listen. Nobody plays with that much emotion and tonal control anymore. Truly fucking awesome.

That was absolutely beautiful Dave, that is worthy as solo/ instrumental of the year. You truly are developing into an awesome artist, and best part of all is that you are so grounded, have truly been inspired by your journey, and as such it has opened my eyes to tonal variations, auch as been introduced to Master Nick. Thank you😊

I got to fool around with Robbie Dunbar's 1960 Les Paul. It was really the finest feeling guitar in my whole life's experience. 1960 was a good year, but Ralph Novak had done the ol' Gibson headstock replacement trick on it, and every time he got ahold of a guitar I think that it became one of the world's finest. The setup on my Vox Phantom was pretty astounding, too. I think that the Novax was the first Fan-Fret on the market, btw.

What a relief to find a Dave vid. I've mostly been watching angry tigers, crocodiles and sharks. I was scared to go to the shops in case they're out there. So thank you Dave, hgmott) hairy guitar man of the Tube) from a Pott. Great sound that LP. And Dave of course.

Reminds me of the first time I dropped on Phil x years ago he was demoing a 60 burst straight through a small accordion amp and he did the whole lotta love riff and it sounded just like page he then went on to play other songs the guitar sounded awesome just like this one with Dave .

Blimey what was that that just flew by me? Ahhh it was Dave knocking it out of the park again. You're correct in saying that what ATB do is brilliant, but in return they got 5 fantastic live performances from you, so I'd say it's a fair trade

Makes me miss my Les Paul. Alas it's just a modded Epiphone Standard, but she's dear to me. All over my first ever recorded rock album. The one guitar I refuse to sell under any circumstances. We will be reunited soon. A matter of days in fact after 1.5 long (but good) years overseas.

Ok so you need to get the Strat and that Les Paul. I’ve read the 1960 Les Pauls are really sought after, especially the gold tops. That looks better. The butter color at the bottom fading to honey at the top is fabulous 💖. You made that guitar 🎸 happen! I’m sure it’s priced in the stratosphere but maybe you could work out a deal. Can’t believe I’m saying this because I love 💗 all things Strat. Thanks for another great video. 👍☮️🌞🎸🩵

Am a strat guy but the les Paul was my favourite out all the guitars lol 😢.can I ask you do you think digital effects sound better from a solid state amp .got a new zoom multi effects. No likey sound from tube amp lol.

Greetings from America Dave!!!!..…. You would be absolutely surprised how much a luthier setup has to do with how a guitar plays

The 'Simpson kick' demonstrated at 7:05 is a useful tactic when confronted by an assailant. Though Bruce Lee often executed a similar kick in his earlier career, he would go on to prefer the classic 'knee in the goolies', especially if attacked whilst playing pre-CBS Strats.

Hi Dave. I saw you asking for some input to expand your channel ... I love your playing and videos and dont wanna see the channel dying... maybe something new like playing other guitars besides les paul or strats might be an idea...I just find myself skipping videos where your trying out those guitars or clones of them. Id love to see you play a PRS or what ever once in a while. your intros are amazing with your ambiant style solos but id love to see a Hard rock 70s style improv jam with a rock beat more once in a while. i dont know i could be so wrong but just some input.
