They say "Nothing Runs Like a Deere" but it's dang hard to get a Deere to run in this cold weather. That's why I love the Perkins Diesel that is offered in the Massey Ferguson models. 1960 was the 1st year that MF offered the "Hot Shot" system that preheats the intake manifold making them start super easy dang near every time. That 1974 JI Case Backhoe in the background doesn't have this feature, so I have to plug it in & sometimes hit it with a little "Starting Fluid", in order to get it's 4-cylinder IH diesel engine to rock and fire on these cold January days, but this little MF35 starts every time I hit the key.
