Well… I’m sorry to say that I pulled the car apart. The engine it now in New York and Church Boys Racing bought the wagon. They are doing something in a collaboration on the wagon with Farm Truck and AZN from street outlaws. Looking forward to seeing what next level they take it to.

Jonathan Godbout .... Thanks for the kind words. I wanted it to sound like a V8 and I think I nailed it. It blows peoples minds when I open the hood at shows. They can’t believe it. I know I am partial to this car, but I think it is the best sounding one I have heard as well and I have searched high and low. I built one for my fathers truck as well. If you want a mean Chevy straight 6 you've got to look into argentine videos. AMC (IKA/IKA-Renault), Ford, Dodge/Chrysler, Chevrolet straight 6 are a big deal here. Look for some "cuarto de milla Gálvez" or "picadas Gálvez" or "300 Libre" videos you'll get an idea.

What exhaust manifold at you using?

Oh yeahhh!!! There are some really bad ass Inliners out there. I think the ones over there are done because that’s what they can get their hands on… more readily available.

James Mcpherson-Elliott Hey James. There is a lot you can do, however you have to spend a ton of money on these Inlines to make them run like this one. I have built 540 big block chevys and spent less believe it or not. Little things you can do and not spend a bunch of money is change the intake to an aluminum offy or Clifford and put a nice small 4 barrel carb like an Edelbrock 500cfm. You should be able to find a used intake on eBay if you keep looking. You need to look all the time on eBay because they go quick. And then I would put a nice set of headers on it. They are not to bad on price. And lastly, put a nice set of flow master 50 series mufflers. This won’t break the bank, it will sound and look awesome.

@@JohnPhillips-br4um I’m looking at the offenhauser intake and a carb, then the headers. Would you really notice much difference at the pedal over completely stock like I have it now? I’m not thinking a massive difference but can it be felt?

To run an offer or Clifford intake isn't he going to have to change the head to a non-intergated head?

Compression is 10to1 and I think this cam is the 556 / 248@50. I have done so many I can’t remember which one I used. Haha!!

Bo DangleS Hey there!!! Well, I have done a ton of work to this engine. Most of the work was done to the head. Lump port kit, shaved, screw in studs, huge valve springs, 3/8 guide plates etc etc. .200 longer 3/8 chrome moly pushrods. It has 307 small block V8 Chevy .030 over pistons, all ARP bolts etc.... really too much to list it all. Building this engine really broke my bank..LOL..! If you have a lag you may have a carb issue. What carb are you running??

It’s the Weber carb that came with the Clifford 6=8 kit! Does that lump port kit that 12 Bolt work? Or will it even help any? I’m trying to figure out how to get the most out of this set up without buying a whole new engine etc.... I’ve already spent a lot of money on the four to five lug conversion, disc brakes, wheels and tires

Bo DangleS Unless you are going to do it all, the lumps won’t be worth the money. I think I have about $2000 in just my head and then another $240 for pushrods and guideplates and then another $400 or so for the rocker arms. Then you need a $400 valve cover so it will clear the valve train. It just never ends.. haha!

Comp Cams camshaft. Don’t remember the specs. Sold the car. Thanks for writing.

I can’t remember the exact specs. I know the duration is around 252 at .050. And I believe the lift on that camshaft is like 560

Yes, you are correct. This engine began its life in a 1972 truck I believe…. Only thing original to it is the block and crank.
