The headrest is a compliment to the optional reclining passenger chair, cradling the head when in the fully reclined position.

The headrest could just be ordered for the passenger side or for both front seats. The passenger seat reclines and the headrest supplements. My '66 New Yorker is equipped this way. I see this car is equipped with the adjustable steering wheel which was a new option for 1964. However, it appears the tilt release lever is missing. This appears to be a very nice car. Also, factory am/fm radio...

Definitely 👍🏾 nice Ride if I was to buy a 64 Chrysler 300 K I would have ordered it with the Push Button Dash R N D 2 1 with Emergency Brake originally to keep it original the way it should’ve and suppose to be. Never get an aftermarket Carburetor keep the original on if it needs to be repaired replace the the bad parts with the same Chrysler Carburetor new replacement Carburetor Parts. You want to keep everything original as much as possible as you can. At least you kept the original Steel Wheel Rims and Custom Deluxe Hub Caps.
