you have the same drawbar hook i had to get for my 650. the drawbar is so fat on that thing i didnt have a single clevis that would fit it so i couldent really hook a chain to it anywhere to pull anything that hook solved all those problems

@blackjackhp That I don’t know, This was converted to and alternator before I was born. But I do know that you need an alternator with a built in voltage regulator. You local auto parts store should have them in stock as they are very common for gm vehicles. This alt only has two wires cjoming off of it and one goes to the starter.

Did they delete the voltage regulator the old Chevrolet had them it looks like you are running what they called the single wire there is a connector which would hot to your battery and an excitation wire that is only hot with the key is in the on position but cuts out when the alternator is working they used Bulb that acted like a diode so when the light went out it wasn’t draining anything from the electrical system

I know it’s an old post I hope you get this I’ve been working on wiring harness is from my 1010 has the same set up that you have but I don’t know the serial number on it. If there was anyway that you could show the way that wire was routed on your machine you could save me some time because I’m noticing that there are two bars one is for the top of the battery that has a notch and the second notch is in the back Of the pillar the instruments are on. These are troublesome they create run points and then the loom that I’m doing. I don’t want those sheaf points. I was an electrician my specialty was submarine repair so I’ve done this stuff for a very long time I’m a disabled veteran now. But still enjoyed some of the old activities just want to do it better thank you
