Had 2 of them in 1968-1970 - very reliable Rode one from PHX TO DALLAS 1100 miles and back 2 times in 1969. 4400 miles and never missed a beat.

Mine was a '67 bought used in 1970. It never looked as good as yours though! Funny how well the sound of that little vertical twin comes through my speakers. Brings me back some great memories. I've had many bikes since but I wish I still had my old 305 scrambler.

Thanks for the ride John. Just retired and started to bring my 67 CL77 back to life that I've owned for 47 years. Beautiful bike you have AND we love your neighborhood and area!

New 2023 Honda CL500. Should have been a retro inspired version of the CL77 IMHO

Mega upvotes my good friend ! I was Bonkers over this bike too and I wished they had made at least a CL605 !!! I went through all of the different ways I could upgrade this Engine ie like a CB450 but the engine angle was always a problem ! DAMN !!!

Had a 1966 CL77 you took it up to about 55mph. Try riding it at 70mph for about half hour straight and tell me if your ears are ringing when you get off it, Ha!

I'm 72 , had one , and I can tell you THAT'S NOT how it's done. Take the restrictive ''can'' off , let the straight pipes sing , and ride it like you stole it !
