I like how you don’t purposely damage things before restoring them. Makes it so much more interesting to watch. The Tonka truck’s color looks better than the original bright blue. You have earned a sub!

Superb job! A wise man once said “There’s no such thing as mistakes, just happy little accidents.” That blue looks very rich, like the owner of that company had a custom paint job rather than the same truck colour everyone else went for. Excellent!

😁😁There's nothing better to watch this guy doing total restoration of a Tonka toybtruck. Sandblasting is very interesting. Listen to the birds in the background singing is better then the garbage music they put out there. That truck is gonna cost more now. Great job.

Nice to see someone using the correct bit on the Dremel tool to remove rivets. A lot of videos people use a cut off wheel and gouge the surrounding metal.

I think that slightly darker blue color would look more original than the lighter blue color. It turned out better than you thought. Nicely done!

The color is fine. Looks like the Ford fleet color Bermuda / Bahama blue used by them in the 50's & 60's, Color code "J" in 1960. Thanks for another great restore. Narragansett Bay

I had that very same model Tonka dump truck, but it was in the early 70’s I remember when it was given to me by a family friend I never knew what year it was.

I was wondering if anyone ever did custom colors on their Tonka's? This video answered that question for me, Lol! It turned out great, I wouldn't have change a thing after noticing the color was a couple shades off!
