My father was a seal in Vietnam and he told me " whenever you see a Vietnam vet you tell them , Welcome home , because none of us got a welcome home. The public never wanted the war and soldiers who came back had beer, bottles of piss and other things thrown at us. People even spit on us " . Makes me so upset to know that's how our soldiers were treated. Thank you to every man and woman who puts on that uniform. God bless you all .

I think that the whole spitting thing is largely a myth. I think it happened a few times if at all. We've just had over 20 years of war, and a lot of vets feel screwed over by our country. Have not heard of one War on Terror vet being spat on by some A-hole. I'm sure it happens, but rarely.

It's sad that our government still treats our vets like shit. Not one of them should be homeless whether it be drug addiction or a disability. They should get the help they deserve.

When British troops returned home from Iraq after pulling out following the 2003 war...despite the public hating the war as we had been lied to, no-one blamed the soldiers....they didn't have a choice, every loss was on our governments hands. Vietnam was a Charlie foxtrot, likewise the soldiers didn't want to be there either. To think the Gulf of Tonkin battle was figured to be both sides shooting at radar ghosts and it started a war with millions dead. 58,000 US troops didn't get to come home...and the ones who did were treated like the enemy - a dark time for sure

The Skyraider is one of my favorite strike fighters. They were designed to replace the TBM, and other models. There were strike models, COD (Carrier On board Delivery), and AWACS variants. Not sure If I am remembering right, but I think there were Anti Submarine hunter/killer models as well.

Fun fact. The A4s slats were non mechanized and would use the flow of air over them once a certain speed was reached to push the slats to their retracted position and would fall forwards once the plane got slow enough.

I love your reenactments from this era, but there's always one plane it seems is missing - The Viggen. Afaik it never saw combat, but I know you do 'what if's, have you ever done like a 'what if USSR invaded Sweden' Cold War kinda thing? It is such a great plane and it's a shame we don't see it much. Well thanks, and keep up the great work retelling history!

BAT21 - the SAR boys used golf holes from various clubs to guide a downed pilot out to where they could get them rescued.

I'm sorry about this guys, but, I know the golf course owner and he's real pissed! He's looking for compensation for the damage and wants the scrappage rights to the inferior western crashed aircraft. Wow, what a story. Such a shame for so many pilots and aircrew who lost their lives too early. I have read a lot about the Vietnam war over the years and none tell it better than those who were there and survived. I hope the family of David Christian get some final answers.

Hi cap i hope youve had a wonderful week. I believe that the SU 34 is one of the most versatile planes in the Russian armoury and would be indefinitely useful in naval combat in the future. Their newly updated Kh-22 are deadly and have been updated to the armoury of the SU 34. This would be fun to use in a situation where 4 squadrons of these airplanes with additional squadrons of air support such as the SU 57, attack the US carrier fleet that has 5th gen fighters on board. I would love to see you do this. I've been a fan of your videos since 2019 and honestly some of the best content i have ever seen!!

Please stop opening the Cowel flaps it does nothing for oil temps. And do start opening the oil cooler....your not even supposed to open the Cowel flaps over 200+ mph as it causes aerodynamic issues, buffeting, and drag. From a warbird pilot with love🙃
