Timetravel to Chicago, Summer 1966. The "Windy City" on Lake Michigan, the third largest city in the USA, has many faces. It is a shopper's paradise around the boulevard Michigan Avenue, and the city is also the starting point of the legendary Route 66. Chicago is known for its beautiful architecture, a skyline dominated by skyscrapers, such as the John Hancock Center, the 442 m high Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) and the neo-Gothic Tribune Tower. The city is also known for its museums, such as the Art Institute of Chicago with its famous Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. What it looked like in Chicago in 1966 is shown in our film shot on N8, digitized in 2K, here you can see a restored excerpt.
